During these testing times I still intend to keep fixing computers and yet safeguard my customers and myself. If you would prefer to bring your computer/laptop to me that is fine and I will disinfect it before giving it back to you. If you are nervous about plugging your computer back in I have done a guide and would be happy to talk you through it, it isn't as hard as it looks!
Alternatively if your broadband is working and your computer turns on and goes into Windows I can login remotely and solve many problems that way. Each time I login you have to allow me in so I don't have open access to your computer. Alternatively I can come and collect your computer from your doorstep and bring it back to my workshop for repair.

Services
I have been fixing computers for over 40 years (it doesn't seem possible) and I am still fairly sane! I have concentrated on PC's over the last few years and have built up a lot of experience in fixing computers, networks and broadband problems.
One of my main clients was a company called Excess Baggage which, unsurprisingly, handle excess baggage and left luggage at all terminals at Heathrow and Gatwick airports and at most of the London stations, and ship goods all over the world.I was almost solely responsible for their entire network, which covered over twenty sites including head office at Wembley and even an office in Scotland!

Broadband is the quickest way to connect either one, or several, PCs to the Internet and email. There are three ways of getting broadband depending on your requirements. Through a cable operator such as Virgin, though a phone line through companies such as BT, Talk Talk or Plusnet or through a 3G dongle.
We are always hearing about Viruses and Spyware in the press nowadays but how much of a risk are they? Things have changed a lot in the last couple of years. Recently viruses and spyware have become considerably more aggressive and if you use the internet or email without antivirus software the chances of not being infected are now very small.
Considering that most people realise the importance of backups it is amazing how few people actually have an effective backup policy. Just imagine if you lost everything on your computer as of now! How would that affect your working day, or even your private day? They did a survey in the USA which discovered that 80% of companies that lost all of their data went bust within months!
The following are recommendations received through letters and email. Some contributors are contactable by arrangement. Alan has installed broadband for us, supplied us with 2 new PCs and visited to resolve technical issues with our machines. Alan replies to emails promptly and can be contacted by phone.

I lost everything on my computer when it crashed and was at a complete loss and desperate for some help. Alan was able to repair and reinstall everything, including everything that had been important to me. He was a very busy man but came as soon as he was able to fit me in. Thanks Alan for all your help. June

Alan has provided an impeccable service for our Company computer needs for many years. He is always very quick to attend our offices, assess what the issue is and rectify the problem on the spot, if possible, to get us up and running in the quickest time possible. His charges are also very competitive.

Alan Howarth is a rare and precious amidst in a sea of computer repair pop ups! In an era where we have sadly lost so many trusted tradesmen - genuine service helpers, customer service and mature people with real experience under their belt; when I felt like anything outside a major retail chain was as risky as the old 'used car salesman' experience - Alan has renewed my faith again.
Alan is a quiet, genuine, mature and gentle-man offering real service, knowledgeable skill, customer care and flexibility. He is very adaptive and creative in his problem solving, with broad capabilities, a quiet
