Choosing clean power is one of the biggest things you can do to tackle the climate crisis. Here's how we can help:. We match the power you use in a year with electricity generated from sun, wind and water here in the UK. I would like to reassure you all that Good Energy is stable and not at risk of running into difficulty.
I'm very happy with Good Energy, which is why I have switched my new property. You've been very efficient and, I must say, your bills are the best bills I've had from any supplier. I switched to Good Energy because of their ethical approach to energy which is much better for the environment. Their customer service is great and they really care about me as an individual.

Services
20 years ago, people in the UK had little choice about where their energy came from. 98% of UK energy was generated from fossil fuels - and with the growing threat of climate change, we desperately needed alternative and more sustainable options. Good Energy was set up to give people the choice to do something about climate change by choosing renewable energy for their homes and businesses - and we've been doing just that ever since.
When our founder Juliet Davenport founded Good Energy in 1999, we were the UK's first 100% renewable electricity supplier. Juliet wanted to create a way for people and businesses to be part of the solution to climate change. Our 100% renewable electricity is generated here in Britain from sun, wind, water and bioenergy.
When you switch to us, we match all the electricity you use over a year with electricity sourced purely from renewables. And if you sign up to our gas tariff too, the emissions from the gas you use will be neutralised through our investment in verified carbon reduction projects. We believe the UK can be powered purely by renewables.
If none of the pages above helps with your query, or you'd prefer to speak to someone, please get in touch. We're proud of our Customer Care team and the experienced service they provide each day. Our lines are open from Monday-Friday 9am-5pm (except bank holidays). If you're having a problem with your Good Energy account, please get in touch so we can put it right.
Good Energy has been helping people fight the climate crisis for over 20 years by enabling them to choose 100% renewable electricity for their homes and businesses. Along with our customers and investors, everyone that works here is part of our purpose of powering a cleaner, greener future. If you want to help us achieve our purpose, we want to hear from you.

Renewable energy is a SCAM!! Watch the new Michael Moore documentary "Planet of the Humans" on YouTube for free!! It's just a way for the government and companies like this to make money off your environmental guilt. Wind turbines and solar panels cause more harm to the planet than good. Using fossil fuels to build and maintain. It's a smoke and mirrors routine. "Good Energy" - more like "Good Scam!!"
In response to your reply:
You are bound to say that as if documentaries like Michael's are true they are seriously going to eat into your profit margins. Also I love how you say "experts". Didn

Moved into a property supplied by Good Energy. They were charging me 3x my current rate for the few weeks before my switch away.
I had to call them to resolve an issue and spent 45 minutes on hold listening to how great their CEO is...
I don't care about your CEO Good Energy. Don't treat people waiting on hold as a captive audience for your marketing! Shameless behaviour really for a so-called "ethical" company.

I've been with the company for 3 years and have found their prices to be fairly comparable to fossil fuel companies. In the climate crisis, one of the biggest changes an individual can make is to switch to renewable energy in the home and Good Energy have always made this really easy for me.
I've called with queries a couple of times and never have to wait to speak to an informative and professional person. They've always called me back when they said they would and made any refunds for over payments promptly.

I’m sad to write this review as I’ve been with Good Energy for many years and have three different energy accounts with them. They used to have a high customer rating but I see Which? now says "Since being included in the survey in 2016, the firm has dropped from second place, to 10th and finally to 19th last year."
I’ve been trying to transfer another supply to GE and it’s currently six weeks late with no-one able to properly explain to me what is happening or when it will be resolved (the old supplier confirmed they are ready for the transfer to take place).
Customer services are sympathetic

Absolutely awful do not go with this company!!! Someone phoned my mum and harassed her into switching to good energy and after saying no repeatedly she finally agreed. My mum was told she could have a prepayment meter and eventually she had a bill through which she couldn’t pay and now owes thousands. My mum is a pensioner and was bullied into changing over )which Good Energy have also admitted to) and didn’t tell anyone or never asked for help because she was so worried. Absolutely no help from Good Energy and they’ve only awarded £30 compensation after almost 4 years of hell. They have

Terrible company - avoid
Incompetent
Poor customer service
I switched to Good Energy because I agreed with the way in which the company produces the energy it supplies. However, having been with the company for a few years, I would not recommend it to anyone.
When I switched to Good Energy, I agreed a monthly direct debit for around the same amount I was paying with my previous supplier. As far as I was aware, my bills were accurate and being collected correctly. However, after around a year, I received a letter from Good Energy informing me that they had miscalculated my bills and were immediately

Been with this company for several years and have now decided to switch as I the whole experience has been negative. I have no idea what their final bill actually is as I have received two separate bills for gas an electric, yet logging online states a totally different price. I've never been able to understand their billing system - it's a nightmare. They also don't seem to have received the meter readings from my new company, even though this was given to them weeks ago.

I've been with Good Energy for a number of years and whilst they don't claim to be the cheapest they are the greenest and that's what they are all about. Whenever I have had to phone them I've got through to a real human very quickly and they've been able to answer my questions quickly and precisely.
Well done Good Energy, keep up the good work.

I used to be very pleased with this energy supplier, despite their higher than average price, but the past 18 months, it has been utter chaos and a total disregard for customer services. I had to wait for 8 months for my gas bill and 10 months for my electricity bill. My direct debits never matched my bills and were debited randomly. Contacting them has been particularly difficult.

Absolutely awful. If I could rate lower than 1 star I would.
Joined on 5th Dec on 23rd Dec recieved notice of 12% price rise. Astonishing.
Customer services not interested. Luckily not tied to a contract so now swapping to new supplier.
Green energy is all very well but when the basics are neglected and customers virtually told tough just pay £60 plus a year or go elsewhere even after only 18 days it's just not worthwhile.
Can't and won't recommend Good Energy. Better to go on Moneye Saving Expert and choose one off there.
Avoid at all costs.
