This an exciting community enterprise in Clevedon. For 14 years a small second-hand bookshop existed in Copse Road, Clevedon. The new shop is the original shop plus the one next door, enabling us to double the area. The shop is now owned and run by people in the Clevedon area and by others committed to our objectives.
We receive and sell good donated second-hand books, we also sell some new books. Our range of other items for sale include cards, gift vouchers, book-markers and cloth bags. Other activities have been hosted in the shop such as; literary events, story reading for children, creative writing courses, poetry reading sessions.

Services
We receive and sell a large selection of good donated second-hand books at our bookshop on Copse Road. We also stock a small number of new books. Our friendly volunteers are always happy to help you with your book search. There is a whole corner of the bookshop dedicated to children's books - complete with comfy bean bags to sit on!
The Clevedon Community Press is our small independent press. We have set it up to help towards fulfilling our aim to enhance the literary and literacy profile of Clevedon and its environs. The Community Press is run by the Bookshop Co-operative's Publishing Press Team. We regard publishing as a co-operative effort.
Your involvement thereafter, as a customer and/or volunteer in the shop or by helping to shape the business, is as much or as little as you wish. If you are local, or visiting the bookshop, drop the form/s in with the money (cash or cheque) to cover your share purchase, or there is a card machine at the shop if this is your preferred method of payment.
Our shop is located on Copse Road, which is one street away from the sea front. You may find it easier to park on the sea front and then use the public footpath between the Tiffan Caf and Clarence House (private residence) to cut through to Copse Road. At the end of the path turn right by the Royal Oak public house; the bookshop is just a few steps from here.
The Bookselling Team: Booksellers help with the day-to-day running of our shop on Copse Road, and work either a morning or afternoon shift. They accept and sort donations, price books, operate the till, and generally keep the shelves stocked and tidy. This role is ideal for someone with great people skills, who likes nothing better than to spend their time surrounded by books!

What a great little asset this bookshop is! The volunteer staff are always warm and welcoming and ready to answer any enquiries as best they can. Bought a great book on contemporary art today, in really good condition for only £2.00! The shop is well laid out and has a fantastic range of books. I love going in with my grandkids as we always manage to find a bargain. Highly recommend.
