Services
Julia's love of baking started at an early age making Tiffin & Fairy cakes at school and baking the family recipe for her Grandma's famous fruit cake. At 16 years of age her Dad, John, said "you're only good at art and cookery, you'd better stick to cookery, there's no money in art!" As a result of this Julia spent 2 years at a catering college in Blackpool, and the next 4 completing a catering degree course at Oxford Brookes University.
Every week we're delighted to take orders for from all around the world to for our hand made cupcake gift boxes to deliver to loved ones all over Oxford. We include a personalised message with them so it's a great way to show you care when you can't be there. Our giftboxes start at 30 for a box of 12. Each year we attend a huge number of events, balls and music festivals throughout Oxfordshire and the UK, many of which happen every year including our annual slot at the local Oxford Light Night and Cowley Road Carnival. Our team are regularly called upon by event organisers throughout the UK to bake promotional cupcakes with custom logo designs for festivals, parties and special occasions.

I made a last minute enquiry to Julia at Happy Cakes and I'm so glad I did! Amazing amazing cupcakes! In this tough covid world, it's hard not to be able to buy a big cake and share it with our family and… friends. It was my housemates 50th birthday and he loves carrot cake. Julia made us 24 carrot cake cupcakes and OMG, they were amazing, quite honestly the best I've tasted! Julia even provided boxes so he was able to give them out to his family and friends with a hand written note. They were really touched and actually felt like they'd been part of his birthday. So many fantastic comments

I am still in awe of this incredible creation by Happy Cakes. From the offset, I was impressed with the range of previous creations showcased on the website and Facebook page, as well as the kind and generous work they are doing to support our valuable NHS staff amidst the… current situation.
Julia could not have been more helpful and amenable to my requests and exceeded expectations when I arrived to pick up this masterpiece. Not only did it fulfil my brief, it looked exceptional and tasted even better :)

We entrusted Julia with our wedding cake because she was warm, comforting, and inviting. Planning a wedding can be hectic, so it's nice to know the cake is in good hands. Incredible. I cannot recommend Happy Cakes enough. For our event we had around 8 different flavours and a selection of vegan and gluten free options and each one was delicious. They worked with us in the creative process leading up to the event to create decorated cupcakes which perfectly suited the theme. Their service was absolutely faultless.

For my birthday, a good friend in NYC bought a dozen cupcakes from Happy Cakes. They were delivered to my workplace, in Oxford, first thing in the morning by a very nice lady who I assume works for Happy Cakes. The cakes were fresh, and delicious! Even the generous amounts of frosting. And usually sprinkles on cakes are cheap or not worth eating, but they use some kind of special crunchy chocolate for their sprinkles. Perfect!

Love love loveeeeee Happy Cakes! Julia is wonderful. I have had cupcakes made to order for professional purposes (with logos etc) and for personal things like birthdays. The cakes are always delicious and everyone always asks who made them. I cannot recommend Happy Cakes and Julia enough...they are the best cupcakes in Oxford. :)
