Fred and Martina made some railings to match original ones on our terrace. They are fantastic and such amazing craftsmanship. So pleased.

I wanted a front gate for the property. Contacted Fred in person in his shop because he was local. Arranged for him to come and inspect which took several reminders. He and Martha turned up on site as arranged, measured and took away rough sketches of designs I had made, with a promise to come back to me with a formal design and that was the end of that. Weeks went by, I followed it up with so many phone calls and literally after months when nothing happened I could still not understand what the hold up was. No explanation. Hopeless waste of everybody's time.

I contacted Fred in relation to making us a new front gate. The service we received was excellent- he came to the house to make a full assessment of possibilities, produced beautiful sketches of possible designs and was able to offer adjustments to fit our budget, and fitted the gate. We have had so many compliments! Thank you!

Fred did a couple of clothes rack on wheels. I had the measurements for it to fit some fitted wardrobe in a loft (on wheels so I could access the access hatch into the loft space behind.) Fitted perfect and work just as they should.

Fred & Martina renovated and fitted our historic railings and garden gate - the restored and resprayed iron delineates the front garden's perimeter and restores the boundary of the house to its original proportions. An excellent job.

I recently brought a piece of metal furniture to Fred after it had broken. He was very helpful and informative and told me what options I had. We both agreed that welding it made sense to give it as much strength as possible. I needed it done quickly and Fred was very accommodating about this. I picked it up a few days later, the weld was perfect and it's been great ever since. I had quotes for replacing the broken parts and fitting them from another company and Fred's price was incredibly reasonable and much less. I'd highly recommend Fred to anyone, the service was superb and Fred was very pleasant

I had an antique brass bed that was shorter than my mattress. I brought the iron side rails to Fred and he patched in the appropriate length to both. They turned out great (and even). I spray painted them black and you can't see the fix at all. He charged me 50 I think and it was a fast turn around with open communication. I'll definitely go back to him again should the need arise.

I have used Fred and Martina for several years for bespoke work on this Georgian property. Railings, gates, latches, rails, gate hinges, a metal support to support a heavy wooden article and a grid to protect fish from a marauding cat. Always carefully thought out, excellent workmanship, a delightful couple, trustworthy, reasonably priced and altogether a happy experience that I will repeat when I next need and can heartily recommend.

Fred saved the day when I forgot to pack the spits for the shawarma bbq. Cheap, efficient and very nice. If ever I'm stupid enough to forget an essential component, I hope its near Fred's workshop!

I recently sought Fred’s help. I needed a metal support which would be attached to, and projecting about 2 feet above the top of a wall. The support needed to be ‘twisted’ about 180 degrees, pre-drilled and ready to be attached.
Fred and his colleague were both exceptional. They listened, made suggestions, provided examples of previous work and then together we came up with a design, that in my opinion was not only better than my original, but was more cost effective as well!
