What a delight it was to come for lunch at the bottle kiln. Not only is the food tasty and the soup was hot but the staff are so polite and friendly and give you a warm welcome.

First time visit to this coffee venue.
It's well set out, extremely popular, and the snacks look amazing (although resisted trying one!).
Coffee tasted great and was presented well. Would have liked a choice of cup sizes however.
They also have shops for you to browse around (including a card section). Shop appears pricey, but can see why it's a popular choice for many people overall.

Excellent as usual. Not been for a good while now partly due to the new seating they had put in. Way too close but due to new restrictions, we will start going there again. Love food. Staff great shop is sorry a little on the expensive side

A lovely lunch at the Bottle Kiln today, cafe staff lovely, food delicious. Just a shame about the 2 ladies serving in the shop! They hardly spoke, seemed to be very disorganised, weren’t helpful at all in fact I asked one of them for something and she never answered me and just spoke to another lady across the shop who got what we asked for. Shocking customer service ladies! I’m not sure what’s going on as everyone is usually so lovely?

Went to the Bottle Kiln on Saturday for the first time having heard lots of good reports about it. Loved it, cafe good and shop excellent. Cafe might have got more points except for Broccoli and stilton soup! It was very popular except at our table! Some of us settled for the fantastic cakes instead! Will go again.

Today was my first time at The Bottle Kiln and it was absolutely gorgeous. The staff were so polite and attentive and the food was lovely. The staff were also allergy conscious and very informative and… attentive with regards food allergens and were willing to check foods and cater for my friend who has a gluten allergy. I would definitely recommend this place and I will definitely be visiting here again! Excellent service! Thank you to all the staff today 😊💜

Really nice food, not the cheapest but worth it.
Tip - get there early if you want to park anywhere near. Also get there early if you want to choose from the full menu as our choice had sold out just after 2pm.

This really is a lovely place with wonderful outdoor seating. We only had coffee and cake which was great but we wish we had gone for something more substantial as every plate that passed looked amazing. Well worth a visit and the shop has some really good gift ideas.

The Bottle Kiln in West Hallam is a coffee shop/restaurant, with a gallery and two craft shops. Parking is available on the gravelled area at the front, with a small overspill area at the back. The gardens that lead you into the Bottle Kiln have an interesting variety of plants, that gives the whole place a feel of peace and tranquility.

The Bottle Kiln structure itself houses a variety of display cases that showcase the variety of craft products available in the adjoining shops - cufflinks, necklaces, glassware, sculpture etc, most unique but expensive. The Kiln also has wonderful acoustics

This is a great place to visit to soak up the chilled atmosphere and enjoy a lovely drink in great surroundings.
If you need a nice present for a friend this is definately the place to come as they sell art, gifts and loads of cards.
the food is wonderful as it is homemade, wholesome and generous. They usually have quiches or pie and great salads. Save room for pud though as the cakes, pastries and scones are the best in this area. It can get expensive to eat but is well worth it for a treat as it is nice.

Fantastic coffee - they have original coffee bean made especially for the bottle Kiln. Indulgent sweets and rustic savoury food - quiches/pies, salads, soup and fresh bread - all homemade and fresh everyday.

Artwork and gift shop has lots of little gifts and bits and bobs that would make fab gifts.

Tranquil garden which is the most relaxing place to enjoy a coffee on a nice day.

For lunch - go early as it does get busy and food does sell out

The best coffee around! A great coffee shop offering homemade food that is 1st class. The art gallery displays artwork of local artists as well as some more well known. The interiors and the giftware shops sell original and unique pieces of craftmanship which would be hard to find shopping in the main city centres. The Bottle Kiln also has a tranquill Japenese garden which is great to sit in whilst having a good coffee- weather permitting of course!
