Vehicles over three years old must pass an annual MOT test to prove that it is roadworthy. Our MOT testers will check your car meets the minimum requirements to pass the MOT test and advise you of any faults and defects before making any necessary repairs. Excellent service from this amazing business. My vehicle required a service but I also asked for a cam chain replacement. On their inspection it wasn't required so it wasn't done saving me £££'s. A very honest and professionally run family business.

Originally brought my car to BL Autos for repair since it leaking engine coolant and the coolant cap could not be properly fastened. They fixed the leaking problem and a couple other non related issues with the car, all good. Some days after when I was on the motorway I noticed the engine was overheating. This is the first time I've experience overheating with this car. The following day before I next drove it, I topped up the engine coolant and screwed the cap on tight. My fuel flap wouldn't open so I couldn't get petrol. Bill Lock was the 4th place I'd phoned and unlike the Hyundai dealer in Basildon where I bought my car who had nothing to offer ( can you believe that?!) I was told: bring the car round now, we'll have a look. In 30 seconds he fixed it, no charge! I'll definitely go back there if I have a problem.

I called this MOT test centre and spoke with Patsy on the phone to book an appointment for my motorcycle's MOT. She was very nice and polite on the phone and was able to get me a next day appointment for 10am. It took me a while to locate their workshop because the road has been closed off and made into a one way street however if you are heading there, just head towards "Cement Block Cottages road, RM17 6ER" right beside Benfleet scrap co. I gave Patsy a call on the phone when I got lost and she directed me to their test centre.

Amazing service, the best. I'm in my 50s so obviously I have had a number of cars (and my husband the odd van) and we have gone through a number of local car mechanics, until we finally found Bill. Bill Lock is hands down the best no-nonsense car mechanic you will find. And in addition to inexpensive & fast car/van repairs - you can tell that he also is just a genuinely nice person.

Had my Brakes and Service carried out at BL Autos they were professional but friendly (as I can feel a little intimidated going into a garage) .I went originally for a second opinion they told me what needed to be done and kept me informed of any change to this. The were very good on price and saved me money from the previous garage quote. I will be using them in the future. Nice people to do business with.

I've been using BL Autos for years for my car, they are always really helpful and friendly. As they are quite near to the train station, I drop off my car in the morning and pick it up on the way back from work in the evening as they are open late. The customer service is really great all the way through and I always recommend them.
