Services
The business was started by Norman Hill in the seventies and developed for over 30 years until 2004, when Kevin Godfrey took over. Kevin had 20 years experience in the industry having previously started a model making business of his own 'Godfrey Design' supplying the toy industry with pre-production prototypes.
Superyachts form a significant part of our marine portfolio. However, with greater detail and a higher specification these models differ from our standard boats. Integrated mechanics and electronics require an alternative approach to construction and with some models measuring almost 3m long, special consideration is given to weight and structural integrity.
Godfrey Design Ltd started in 1991 as a model making business that supplied the toy industry with pre-production prototypes. After the purchase of Scale Models Weston, the business grew rapidly, but the creativity at the core of the company remains. From Corgi collectibles to Disney Sculpts our staff members have the skills to recreate any product at scale.
