We aim to show our customers just some of the riches that are to be found in the textiles from the Indian subcontinent. In our store you will find a wide selection of embroidered and plain silk jackets, suitable for parties, weddings and other special events. These come in all sizes from 8 to 22. We sell silk trousers in all sizes to match.

We have an exclusive arrangement with a leading fashion designer in Gujarat, Archana Shah, with whom we have worked for ten years. Archana is based in Ahmedabad and is widely known throughout India for encouraging craftsmen and women to use their skills in the clothing that she makes. Archana has for many years worked with groups of artisans in Gujarat and beyond.

In January this year, at short notice, Sarah was asked to organise a trip to India, in particular, Rajasthan. It was to become a journey / holiday of a lifetime, thanks to her impeccable arrangements, and that of her sister organisation in India.
She took account of all our interests and therefore did not pursue the somewhat hackneyed route which tends to be favoured by less imaginative firms. We will never forget that trip which opened
our eyes to the exceptional sights, sounds and colours of India and we cannot wait to return.
Sarah Mahaffy, and her sister company in India, cherished us from

I met Sarah Mahaffy the founder and owner of Maharani when she exhibited at the National Geographic Society a few weeks ago. She has a passion for East Indian textiles and this is apparent in the ladies designer wear she sells at her shop in Fulham Road. The first thing I noticed was the quality which was far superior to the quality which ones associates with Indian made clothes. Then the stunning colours and wide choice of silk dresses, coats and scarves, not to mention the cotton padded jackets. Also on show were some interesting antique textiles with the most incredible hand sewn designs. Having
