The Orthodontic Practice was established on Rodney Street in 1947 by Harold Watkin who was a leading light in orthodontics. In 1933 he was appointed President of the British Society for the Study of Orthodontics and was well known for his pioneering research into the engineering of fixed braces.
The Orthodontic Practice was one of the first specialist practices in the country and quickly developed a reputation for quality amongst Liverpool's dental community.A succession of owners have followed who have constantly upgraded the practice to keep in line with the latest developments in orthodontic treatment.

On your first visit the orthodontist examines your teeth to make a provisional diagnosis as to whether or not you will need a brace. If treatment is needed the orthodontist will discuss your options and give you information to take away. If you are not ready for treatment you will be given a card and asked to contact us in six, nine or twelve months time.
Your orthodontist will work with you to devise a treatment plan which best suits your individual requirements. This could range from a simple removable brace worn for 6 months to a fixed appliance worn for up to 2 years. Children up to and including the age of 17 are eligible for NHS treatment provided they meet certain criteria.
The cost of treatment depends on the complexity of the case but ranges from 400 for a removable brace, up to 3,000 for extensive treatment with upper and lower fixed braces. A fixed brace on one set of teeth will cost between 1,200 and 1,500. Before treatment starts you will be given a written quotation together with a written diagnosis and treatment plan.
Orthodontics is the speciality of dentistry concerned with the diagnosis, management and treatment of irregularities and abnormalities of the teeth, face and jaws. Treatment is by the use of braces to improve the position of teeth, and in a growing patient, the modification of growth of the jaws, helping to correct discrepancies in the jaw size and improve a patient's facial appearance.

I had the most lovely experience in this practice. Staff are lovely all nurses and receptionists are so kind and accommodating and seems a very positive happy place.
I was treated by miss chava who was always very professional and explained everything thoroughly. Really happy with the end result it’s give me a new lease of life. I also felt much more secure after my phobia of dentists all my life knowing miss chava was a specialist in orthodontics.
Thank you everyone at 84 Rodney street !!

The most awful experience! Not trustworthy at all.
We’ve been on the list for two years, and when we finally got an appointment for braces with nhs referral they didn’t even check the teeth, they started asking questions on why we want braces when our dentist referred us there due to a missing tooth and a gab that needed to be covered with braces. They informed us about the appointment literally a day before with no letter just a very weird phone call. When we were there they rejected us with the excuse of poor dental hygiene but when we went to our dentist they were shocked because our oral
