We have restarted our adult classes! We are having to work on reduced numbers for the time being so there will be a max of 5 spaces on every class. Spaces are going quickly but do get in touch by email if you wish to come back, or join us. We offer a wide range of courses and workshops for sewers of all levels.

We provide a wide range of sewing classes, covering everything from learning how to use a sewing machine to creating your own patterns and blocks. About Report

Established in 2010, Carolyn Rose School of Sewing in Leamington Spa has seen a succession of happy and satisfied customers who have enjoyed one or more of our workshops and classes. We offer sewing classes for all levels of ability and a range of classes and workshops which cater for all skills and levels.

Meet the Team Report

Carolyn Rose trained as a teacher at Sheffield Hallam University specialising in Art and Textiles. After leaving Sheffield Hallam she spent a year in Switzerland studying Art and Textiles in Zurich. On returning to the UK she started her teaching career in Coventry and spent the next 25 years teaching sewing and dressmaking in schools and adult learning centres.

I did the intro to sewing in november and december. I learnt so much and really enjoyed it. Carolyn is very knowledgeable and an excellent teacher. She also has the patience of a saint! I'm starting the beginners dressmaking course next week and I'm very much looking forward to it.

My daughter has been attending classes at Carolyn Rose School of Sewing for over 5 years and both her sewing skills and confidence have greatly increased so much so that she now wants to be a fashion designer. Carolyn and the team are friendly, supportive and full of knowledge. The shop is a treasure trove of all things sewing. Highly recommend.

I attended 2 courses at Carolyn Rose School of sewing this year; beginners and beginners to dressmaking. As a total novice at the start of the year, Carolyn has given me the skills and support to make many of my own clothes. She is knowledgeable and am excellent teacher. I thoroughly enjoyed all the classes and was sad when they ended as they became the highlight of my week. The sewing shop is brilliantly stocked with exciting things and I even bought my first sewing machine there.

My word to Carolyn Rose School of Sewing is LOVE!!!
I haven´t been lucky enough to attend one of their workshops but I have used fabrics from their shop for some of my sewing projects and I have to say that they were a real success!!!

Beginners make a tote bag! I needed refreshing on a machine as it's been a fair few years, and I was basically a beginner. However, it all came flooding back with some incredible tuition from Carolyn. I learnt lots of new things and made the nicest bag!!!!
