Services
Our softeners contain a resin that removes the magnesium and calcium deposits that cause the water to be hard - this process is called 'ion exchange'. Periodically the resin needs flushing with salt water to regenerate it. This is done automatically; all you have to do is add salt about once a month.
We deliver Hydrosoft tablet. We recommend the use of tablet salt in water softeners - they are slightly more economical, there is less likelihood of bridging and the unit may be filled without the risk of overflowing. There are two different sizes of bag; the 25Kg or the 10Kg with a useful handle to help with carrying.

Ian Holmes water softeners fitted a water softener and filter for us. The service we received was 10/10. Fantastic customer service with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nick, the engineer did an excellent installation leaving everything clean and tidy. And what a difference to the water! I wish we’d done it years ago. Highly recommended.

This company was highly recommended to me by several local residents. Ian Holmes visited my address and carried out survey advising me of what best suited my circumstances. I hasten to add this was not the most expensive. I went ahead with purchase and one week later ‘ Nick ‘ arrived on time at my address. Having installed the softener he went through the operating instructions with me. His workmanship was neat, clean and tidy. I could not praise him enough. I had one query the following day.which was a Saturday. I contacted the company leaving a message on the answerphone and within the hour
