As renewable energy specialists, we are fully experienced in the identification, design, development, construction and operation of onshore wind energy projects. Community Windpower (CWL) alongside Let's Get Sporty, are delivering free health and wellbeing sessions in four Dumfries and Galloway Primary Schools.
Community Windpower announced that the first array for the Aikengall IIa Community Wind Farm is now energised, a significant milestone for the project. Free virtual school trip launched for KS2 pupils by Nestlj UK & Ireland, offers the chance for children to explore our Sanquhar Community Wind Farm.

Services
We are proven renewable energy specialists, experienced in the identification, design, development, construction and operation of onshore wind farms. We believe in an open and consultative approach with local host communities during all stages of the development process to ensure clean energy is generated to meet local energy needs.
Working within the wind energy industry, Community Windpower realises that sustainable working practices within our own business are essential to help reduce the effects of climate change. We are constantly working on ways to cut our greenhouse gas emissions and therefore reduce our Carbon Footprint.
Community Windpower Ltd are specialists in developing renewable energy projects and have a dedicated in-house team of researchers, operational technicians and financial experts who guide the process. At Community Windpower, we ensure that all our wind farm projects undergo a detailed and comprehensive investigation, including completing a full --Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
Global warming refers to the observed increase in our Earth's average temperature. Although our planet experiences natural climatic variations, records show that over the past couple of decades the earth has warmed above natural trends. In its Fifth Assessment Report (AR5), the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) stated that over the past century, the earth's average surface temperature has risen by approximately 0.85oC (0.18oC).
Renewable forms of energy, such as wind power, are an essential part of efforts to tackle climate change and reduce the effects of its current and predicted impacts. Wind energy does not emit greenhouse gases into the atmosphere when generating electricity and therefore does not contribute to global warming and climate change, nor does it produce any dangerous waste.
