Formed in 2004, Cygnet Yarns is a relatively new brand on the hand knitting scene. Our fledgling company has battled hard to become a recognised name in an industry that is dominated by large, well established brands. Perhaps once considered the ugly duckling, known for selling only cheap acrylic yarns, we have blossomed into a beautiful swan and now offer a huge range of yarns.
Cygnet Yarns offer a wide range of hand knitting and crochet yarns to cater for all tastes and budgets. We offer an extensive selection of Double Knitting Yarns, from value 100% acrylic to premium 100% pure wool, variegated and self patterning yarns to soft baby wools. Our signature Cygnet DK is our most popular line and extends to Cygnet Glittery DK for added sparkle and our softest baby yarn Cygnet Pure Baby 100% Anti-Pilling Acrylic.
Cygnet have a great range of chunky yarns. Our signature Cygnet Chunky range is available in a huge range of shades and by far one of the most popular chunkys with knitters & crocheters. For variegated chunkys we have the sublime Utopia Chunky & Helter Skelter. New for this Season we have the ultimate squidge yarn: Chenille Chunky!
Cygnet's Seriously Chunky is one of the best selling super chunky yarns on the market. Available in over 30 amazing solid shades, as well as an array bright Prints and beautiful Mixes, it's a must for your shelves! Cygnet yarns are fabulous to work with, both for knitting or crocheting. The colours are so vibrant. My favourite is their variegated DK yarn ranges, like Kaleidoscope, Baby Prints and Utopia (sadly now discontinued 🙁).
They’re pure wool variegated and plain coloured 4 ply sock yarn is beautiful too.
