The Mower Centre
The Mower Centre was established and has been run by Jonathan Cruse since 1968 where he has been servicing, repairing and supplying spares for all types of garden machinery. All ages of machinery are catered for up to the present day; be it motor, electrical or hand powered. During this time, a huge inventory of new and obsolete spares has been amassed, some of which are listed on our online shop or eBay profile.

Parts can be remanufactured whilst patterns for clutch and throttle cables, for 90% of garden machinery produced since post-war, are held and can be reproduced and supplied to order; this enables all ages of models of garden machinery to continue in use. Quantities of new old stock are frequently acquired to maintain stocks; large or small job lots of new/old stock garden machinery parts are bought.
Services
We have huge stocks of all parts for all makes, please contact us for anything not listed online. We can recondition and remanufacture many garden machinery parts. Technical advice is freely given. We have patterns for the majority of all throttle and clutch cables for many makes of garden machine made post war.
If you cannot see what you are looking for on either of these sites, please contact us and we will endeavour to find what you need. We accept cash only at our Hailsham shop, we are unable to accept card payments. We accept cheques and postal orders (payable to J.Cruse) if you make an order via email/phone (items will be sent when payment has cleared).

Having damaged a part on a 30+year old mower I'd attempted ( purely for sentimental reasons) without success to repair it . Having located an image of the part on Google images I discovered one was for sale on EBay. Contacting the seller he spent his time ensuring that the part was the correct one . It arrived promptly and was indeed the correct one . It's very sad that establishments such as this are few and far between and thank you again to the proprietor for keeping my mower going . I would have no hesitation in recommending or using him again.

A proper engineer in a workshop that smells like all workshops should. Like having James May just up the road but for perfectly reasonable money. Just the man for keeping these mowers working like new.
