Miss M'Penny Bookkeeping Services is a Brighton based bookkeeping company aimed at small to medium businesses that would like to allocate more of their time to growing and running their business. We are a flexible team and organise ourselves around you and your requirements. The type of work we perform is entirely dependant on your business and its financial needs.
Our bookkeepers are trained on most accountancy packages, including Xero, QuickBooks and SAGE. Bookkeeping is time consuming and elements of it can be technically complex. In addition, there is often not enough volume to justify a permanent in-house employee. Instructing us to provide this service means that you can worry about other more productive parts of your day to day business.

We supply both manual and computerised bookkeeping services to all sizes of business. This bookkeeping can be provided at a schedule which suits you (ie daily, monthly, quarterly etc) either at your own business premises or on a fully outsourced basis from our offices based on Brighton sea front.
If your system is already computerised, our knowledge of Xero, SAGE, QuickBooks and VT transactions allows us to provide this services using your existent software.If you are a start up, or have your own system of keeping your books, we can advise you and help you implement a professional system. This way you will have the most useful information at your fingertips.

Helen qualified as a chartered accountant with Horwath Clark Whitehill in 1998. Her natural ability was quickly recognised and she was swiftly headhunted by PriceWaterhouseCoopers, the world's leading professional services group and the largest of the 'Big Four' global accountancy firms. Helen spent the next three years at PwC working as a manager in audit.
How wrong I could be! With so many things to do when setting up a new business, its quite easy to pick the first one that comes along, within a few months I realised that you must take far more care when choosing probably the most important aspect of your company. I had numerous problems, not being called back, confusions with very simple aspects of accounts and felt that I didnt have any support from a service that I was paying highly for.
