Services
We will basically buy anything made of metal delivered to our yard provided you are the owner or have permission of the owner i.e. Family member, employer, contractor etc to sell it. Reason because they belong to the brewer whos name is normally on the keg somewhere. Reason because there is not enough metal in them to cover the cost of recycling.
Non-Ferrous scrap metal is scrap metal other than iron and steel. Examples of non-ferrous metals include aluminum, copper, lead, stainless steel. Vehicle batteries are classed as non-ferrous metals as these contain lead. Non-Ferrous metals are in much smaller quantities that ferrous metals but they are usually worth considerably more.
No, but please keep batteries in an upright position during transport to our site and while offloading. It as a hard question to answer as people work at different speeds, different cable thickness etc. We recommend stripping cable for an hour and bringing it in to us to see if it is more beneficial for the customer.
Ferrous Metal are those metals which contain iron. This includes scrap from old vehicles, household appliances, steel beams, farmyard and factory scrap and such like. Steel scrap is essential in the process of making new steel and can be recycled indefinitely without losing its quality. Due to its magnetic properties, it is easy to recover even from unsorted waste.
At Seaforde Scrap Metals, we can offer a complete skip collection service. We have 1 chain lift skip lorry and 2 roll on/off lorries and supply skips to a large range of customers. We also have an articulated trailer which can hold up to 30 cubic metres and a HIAB lorry can also be arranged on demand.
