Services
A piano is made primarily from wood, and all wood shrinks and swells with changes in temperature and humidity. When this happens the strings also change in length, changing the pitch to be either too high (sharp) or too low (flat). Some strings may be more affected than others, altering the sound when played to something less pleasant.
A minor piano repair can usually be undertaken by Sheffield piano tuner Colin Brown at the same time as tuning a piano. A restoration or repair will be undertaken with pleasure and enthusiasm, no matter how small. A larger repair might involve removal of piano parts to the workshop to fix or involve buying new components and will therefore cost more.

Easily the best piano tuning service I have ever had. I come from a family of musicians and music teachers. We take great care of our instruments, only hiring international movers with experience of working for symphony orchestras! This particular one of my pianos came from Singapore, went to Australia and then was shipped to the UK. Colin got it sounding totally different after his visit - a real pleasure to play. He gave me more tips about maintaining my pianos than anyone has in all the decades I've been playing and teaching. First class, would recommend.
