We conduct a thorough external inspection of the property to identify any potential defects such as rainwater systems, drainage and other maintenance issues, this is followed by an internal inspection of the walls of the property. By using electronic moisture measuring equipment we can obtain accurate readings as to the extent of the problem.
We conduct our surveys to the highest standards possible as specified by the PCA (formerly BWPDA). Our Timber Surveys will give accurate feedback as to the existence of any problems that may exist such as Woodworm, Dry Rot and Wet Rot, they will also show any problems that may be present due to damp, condensation or poor ventilation.
Woodworm usually gets into your property either by flying in or from other woodworm infested timber, once they have gained access they can cause severe structural damage and irreversible loss. The most common wood boring pest (woodworm) in the UK is Anobium punctatum also known as the common furniture beetle.
