Normans Musical Instruments

I have purchased several instruments from Normans. Most recently a Kalimba which is unbelievable quality for the price and as always very fast delivery, well packed and great service. Would recommend Normans to musicians of all levels!

Ordered a violin online via amazon from here and it advertised ‘workshop setup‘ therefore I decided to purchase it from here... it came and the e string was way out of the bridge and there wasn’t even a slit in the bridge for it to sit in! The bridge was also far to one side so it really was an atrocious experience.
Do NOT recommend and I will NEVER buy anything from here again.

Purchased 2 violins online. One of the best tests of a company is how they deal with things when they go wrong. Well there was a hiccup with the delivery but the customer service team acted very quickly to resolve it. All in all an excellent service, highly recommended.

We called ahead of going to make sure tbey had stock of the instrument we were looking for (a flute). When we got there, we were served by Megan who was really helpful. She talked my daughter through how everything fitted together and the best way to clean it; the stuff a novice parent and his 10 year old need to know!

I love this little violin, I bought the Stentor 1018 4/4 size (with case and rosin included) which is best for an adult. It's fairly easy to set up, but you have to be patient with the tuning and let the strings "settle" in. I myself am a complete violin beginner, but have lots of guitar experience, which helps with note learning..... however, it's best to start at the very beginning and learn to hold the bow, violin and in fact how to bow.... so I'm going to practice all that before trying to play anything. Overall fantastic setup

Amazing for your bits and bobs. Reed, string, skins etc. I used to pay £6 a pack of strings and I've over halved that by buying from Norman's. Also the staff know what they're on about, it's no Saturday kid job, they know and they're all legends!
