My name is Jenny. I am the new proud owner of the business. I have worked at Scarsdale Vets since 2007 and have gained a great deal of valuable knowledge and experience of all animals. I am looking forward to maintaining the fabulous work that has been put into Kitty Kare since 2002 and to work more closely with the wonderful team of trained and established cat sitters.
When you go away on holiday your cats can still remain in their own comfortable familiar environment, sleep in their usual place, be fed in their usual place and maintain their usual routines, thus avoiding unnecessary stress. A typical visit lasts approximately 30 minutes but can be adjusted to meet individual needs.
Usually between 6am and 9pm. Clients can specify morning or afternoon visits, but we cannot guarantee specific times. A two hour window is normally acceptable, except when timed medication is needed such as insulin injections. We spend an average of 30 minutes on each visit in order to give all our furry friends a lot of cuddles and attention as well as attending to their meals and litter trays etc.
After meeting Lesley and Helen for the first time we knew Tigger and Blue would be in good hands. We are most impressed with the running of Kitty Kare and their strict code of practice. We were in contact with them whilst we were away and given updates of how our boys were. Helen came in twice a day to make sure they were fed and watered and curtains opened or closed.
Cats love to explore and will often scratch and chew things that they are not meant to! By being aware of the plants that you are bringing into your house and garden, you can greatly reduce your cat's chances of a serious or potentially fatal illness. Below is a list of some common plants that are poisonous to cats, as well as signs to look for if you suspect your cat has ingested something poisonous.
