Services
Our Sales department maintain a large and comprehensive stock of control equipment, variable speed drives, detection and automation products as well as general electrical hardware at our stores and trade counter at Kingstown in Carlisle. Staff in this department have vast experience and undergo regular training with product knowledge being a key aspect of our service.
Park Gate has been manufacturing control panels and control systems for nearly 70 years. In 2014 we opened a new control panel building facility at Kingstown Broadway in Carlisle with spacious modern offices and a large workshop complete with top quality lifting equipment. Park Gate offers a comprehensive range of services from component assembly to full process plant.
As one of the largest contracting firms in the North West, we offer a wide range of services throughout Cumbria and South West Scotland. We also carry out electrical project work and specialised installation work throughout the UK and beyond. We are proud of our experienced and highly skilled workforce, all of our electricians hold CSCS cards and SPA Food environment safety passports, many are CompEx trained to work in hazardous environments.
Park Gate has been supplying new and re-conditioned electric motors since 1946 and during this time we have built up a reputation for providing an excellent standard of reliability and service. We hold one of the largest stocks of electric motors in the UK comprising of over ten thousand motors at any time, ranging from 0.09KW to 1200KW.
Park Gate own and operate one of the largest electric motor warehouses in Europe. A reconditioned motor can offer an ideal solution to applications where cost or the availability of a suitable replacement motor is critical. From small FHP motors to geared units and through to very large industrial machines, Park Gate can supply a wide variety of motors in both standard and obscure frames.

My Central Heating pump had died, a Grundfos, and I had been trying all over the world to get a Capacitor for the pump without success. Even Grundfos declined to supply me with one. However enquiry of local Electrical suppliers suggested I try Park-Gate Electrical at Carlisle. Bingo. Not only did the have what I wanted, but was only £10 or so posted right away. Bit of a difference to the over £120 or so that was the cost of a new pump. Thanks very much indeed Simon for all your help.
