Behind the facade of a listed Georgian townhouse, you will find a fully-modernised orthodontic practice, with state-of-the art digital X-ray facilities. We are a specialist practice, who only perform orthodontic treatment for NHS and private patients, children and adults. The principal, Dr Una Doherty, opened the Orthodontic Clinic in Sheffield in 2003, moving to 271 Glossop Road in 2005.
Dr Doherty qualified in dentistry from Liverpool University. After spending several years in hospitals working in Maxillo-facial surgery, she undertook the three year training to become an orthodontist, qualifying from Liverpool University in 1999. Dr Doherty works at the clinic with a support staff including qualified dental nurses and receptionists.

The staff here are wonderful and take great care if you whilst you are having your treatment. You for and grow a sort of friendship with them as they make sure that you are well and that everything else going on with your brace is going smoothly. I couldn't be more than happier with my results as I feel alot more confident within myself from having a better smile.

Dr Doherty and her team exceeded my expectations for orthodontic treatment. I chose to go with Invisalign, and my treatment went very smoothly. All my retainers fit perfectly, and my teeth moved in the exact way they were predicted to. Dr Doherty makes you feel very welcome, she is always open to answering questions and listening to any of your concerns.

A big thank you to Dr Doherty for my new smile! Being 28 at the time of getting braces, I was a bit hesitant about having braces. Dr Doherty was great at explaining the available options and I am glad that I went with her suggestion of damon braces. I was expecting pain and misery for the duration of my treatment, however the reality was far from it, the braces were at worse, a mild annoyance. Having spent the last year and a half in braces, I cannot recommend Dr Doherty enough. At every appointment, I had a LOT of questions and she answered every single one of them. She listened to all of my concerns

Both my daughters have had orthodontic treatment from Dr Doherty and the service and professionalism has always been incredible. All the staff are without fail both friendly and efficient. Dr Doherty has gone out of her way to see us at short notice when minor emergencies have occurred. I would highly recommend the clinic.
