A boarding kennels can be a rather different environment to what most family dogs are used to. The daily routine is different, there is the presence of other dogs and unfamiliar people and the typically higher activity level. Most dogs, being generally quite sociable animals, take to the environment well and have a really good time.

Services
Our kennels have large tiled indoor and outdoor runs (7.5 square meters), with views overlooking 5 acres of the beautiful Wirral countryside. The kennel floors also have a gentle slope in order to assist cleaning. All sleeping areas have infrared heat lamps for cold nights and each dog is given beds made from chew proof recycled plastic with a waterproof mattress for comfort.
All our spacious cat units are constructed from insulated UPVC, double glazed windows, tiled floors and have thermostatically controlled heating. They are located inside a secure barn with views to the outside. Our aim is that our boarders are as relaxed as possible, kept engaged and entertained by regular interaction with people as well as their environment.
Are you struggling with what to do with your pooch when you go to work? Leaving them at home all day on their own isn't an option, and dog walkers can be expensive for just one hour of socialisation. A quick drop off at Ivy Kennels before you head into work means you have peace of mind knowing your furry friend is safe and secure.
Ivy Dog Park gives you the peace of mind that public parks can't. Your dog can have a private place to run, play, explore and sniff in a secure environment. We offer a safe space for your dog in a fully fenced 1.7-acre enclosure. Fences are 5ft 5 high for optimum security. We have a secure double gated entrance and exit area, to provide safety and ease of access when multiple dogs are being walked.
Our on-site pet shop may not rival others when it comes to size, but you're sure to find plenty of choice here! Not to mention our great prices. So, if you're looking for healthy food and delectable treats for your pet, we've got something for your furry friend here! For more information about our dog kennels or day care, call Ivy Kennels & Cattery on 0151 608 8755.

I went to view a rescue dog there and I'm sorry but the conditions they kept him under were less than ideal. When I challenged them about it they were quite hostile. I'm a retired nurse and to leave a recently operated on dog with a baby grow on to apparently keep his stitches safe made no sense at all. There are no people there at all between the hours of 6 in the erand 6in the morning. I was totally amazed that people pay to board their pets here not knowing there is no monitoring for 12 hrs. This poor dog was left to wet himself into the baby grow covering his wound for 12 hrs. Frankly I believe

The worst experience thank god that I didn't send my dog.

Because they said that the fog needs to be vaccinated to date we will bring g her.
I am very typical with her.
The story went she needs to speak with her manager.
The manager called me very rude unpolite playing with

Our three dogs stayed at Ivy whilst we went on holiday for two weeks. I dreaded leaving them. Our two labradoodles, Maggie and Enzo, age 3 had only been left (in another kennels) for 4 days when they were 9 and 6 months old (respectively), Frank, our one year old staffy had never been in kennels before. Ivy were great, answering our messages… quickly whilst we were away and reassuring us about our dogs. My son collected them the day before we flew home and said although the dogs were beyond excited to see him, it was clear they had been so well looked after. They had also all been bathed

These guys really do know what they’re doing! We where slightly apprehensive wanting to take our “bouncy” cocker spaniel to a kennels but the staff here have reassured us and made our dog feel greatly welcomed! He’s now loving going and even stayed a night here and there! Thanks guys! Highly recommend! 👏
