The firm of Pothecary Witham Weld was created following the merger of Pothecary & Barratt and Witham Weld in 2006. Prior to that date both firms had enjoyed long interesting histories. Witham Weld can trace its origins back to 1791, when two Catholic lawyers set up in practice as Barrett & Eysta in Fig Court, London.
This firm is regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority of England and Wales Registration No. 00446834. The firm is not authorised under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 but we are able in certain circumstances to offer a limited range of investment services to clients because we are members of the Law Society.

At a time when many law firms use junior or unqualified staff, I found it reassuring to have an experienced solicitor dealing with my purchase. We engaged PWW recently to help us with the legals associated with buying a wood and setting up a Company Limited by Guarantee.
