Council Tax Advisors was formed as a direct result of our former founder's personal experiences with Bailiffs/Enforcement Agents. He owed Council Tax after a period of ill health and the Bailiffs that attended his property acted outside of the law. Subsequently, one Bailiff had his certificate revoked and the other, retired to avoid any further embarrassment.

I've to thank the Council Tax Advisors Team! I've paid the enforcement fees within 4 working days of the letter issued of £75, however Equita's bailiff kept insisting I owe them an additional £235 because aparently he attended my premises.
Because of the advise from the Council Tax Advisors Team I was aware of my rights, unafraid and was assertive (but still friendly) towards him. I questioned when did he attend my premises, as no letter of intent was issued, furthermore I have paid the enforcement fee within 4 working days of the letter issued, so there was no reason for him to attend my premises

I honestly don't know what i would have done without help from the Council tax Advisors. The council had passed my debt to a debt collection company that just wouldn't except the reasonable repayment offers i made.
After talking to Chris and the team i felt like a weight had been lifted, they assessed my situation and took full control of everything. I was always kept informed and up to date and thanks to all there hard work my offer was excepted.

My wife contacted this organisation based on the reviews posted as we expected to receive a professional impartial service. What she got was an advisor who was far from helpful in fact he was rude boardering on abusive and was very judgemental. Clearly if the reviews are to be believed, some people have had a good service but it appears professional support is a lottery in this organisation and it really does appear to be the luck of the draw when you ring. Very bad service is what my wife received. MW

First class and speedy service - a potential lifesaver! I couldn't get Bristow & Sutor to pay any attention to my proposal to clear my unpaid tax at a rate I could actually manage, rather than something they had selected at random. B&S were being extremely aggressive. These guys fixed it inside a week, and the agreement was exactly what I have been trying to get B&S to accept for weeks.
