Bristol Uniforms is one of the world's leading emergency services protective clothing brands, with 60 years' experience designing and manufacturing specialist PPE, and a history as a clothing manufacturer dating back to 1801. Our garments and associated PPE are sold in 110 countries throughout the world, via a network of more than 70 experienced distributors, located in our major overseas markets.
The story of Bristol Uniforms began in 1801, when a small retail clothier, John Gardiner, set up a business in Union Street in Bristol. The timeline below shows how exports to the colonies helped the business to grow over the years, until a change in direction manufacturing tunics for the airforce during WW2, led to the development of the specialist emergency services PPE that Bristol is renowned for throughout the world.

Bristol's Stock Management System provides customers with 24 hour a day, year round access to all clothing options and is of particular benefit to those either wanting, or needing, to acquire PPE on demand. The online Stock Management facility is currently only available to London Fire Brigade. Fire & Rescue services interested in having access to a similar facility are invited to contact us to discuss their requirements.
