I used Hardip in Southampton for my automatic licence, I couldn't recommend him more!
He has a great style of teaching and caters for your needs helping you with what you think you need to work on whilst constructively advising on areas he thinks you need to work on.
Makes you feel very at ease and easy to get on with. He really made sure I was ready for all situations using a wide variety of different roads and any given situation not just test routes.
I passed first time with next to no miners.
Great Guy all round and worth using

I passed my driving test in the 1st attempt with Mr. Tony Hislop. I can not recommend Tony enough for the amount of experience and driving tips he is willing and capable of sharing during the lessons. He is very well familiar with all test routes, test centres, and examiners. The test route I had was actually one that Tony took me through twice or 3 times at least. Thus, I was extremely comfortable on the test day.
Tony is so honest he would tell you whether or not you're ready for the test even if the number of lessons is comparatively small. He will make sure a number of times you've got all

Hi its AFIA. I have passed my driving test as my instructor was Mr Tony Hislop. He is a very good instructor I have ever seen. He has so much patience. I made mistakes and sometimes very nervous. But he always try to help me and make me feel easier and smooth driving. He always encouraged me .I would highly recommend him as a instructor Tony is the best..Thank you

Having been recommended by a friend, I have found Neil to be an excellent driving instructor, and am just about to take my test. Having once been a school teacher, he is both encouraging and honest, and never pushes you to do anything you're not ready for yet. The lessons are well structured, and being 2 hours long I can feel myself building on the progress I make every week. I have since recommended Neil to other friends who have also spoken highly of him.

The instructor teaching the manual lessons came across arrogant and impatient at times. He was vaping throughout the lesson showing his lack of consideration and professionalism especially with the relatively high hourly prices (~£30). He did instruct OK and will teach you how to drive but I have had better instructors at around 1/3 the price. I was left extremely anxious and stressed after the lesson rather than supported and confident as with previous instructors due to the relatively harsh criticism received during the lesson.
Note I have no experience with the automatic instructor.
