Trekinetic
Using leading-edge Formula 1 engineering technology, Trekinetic specialises in the production of ultra-light, state of the art wheelchairs designed for daily use, whatever the terrain. Whether you're an outdoor adventurer, city slicker, aged 5 or 105. Our revolutionary all terrain wheelchairs are available in both manual and power versions.

Our unique carbon fibre seat is moulded to fit the human body and provides more support with less padding than a traditional wheelchair. Using modern materials such as carbon fibre and aluminium, our chairs retain their strength whilst staying light. Our unique 3-wheel design allows our chairs to cope with pretty much any on or off-road terrain you can throw at it, including mud, sand, snow and gravel.
Services
Trekinetic was founded in 2006 by visionary engineer Mike Spindle with the belief that wheelchair users should have the same access to our planet as everyone else. With the confidence that wheelchairs could be better, lighter, more comfortable and more versatile, Trekinetic set out to build a brand new type of wheelchair.
The multi-award winning Trekinetic K2 is a lightweight, all terrain manual wheelchair like no other. Utilising cutting edge Formula 1 technology, the K2 was designed as an everyday manual chair that pushes the limits of what a wheelchair should be capable of. Built in the UK from start to finish, this is one of the most advanced wheelchairs on the planet.
All our chairs are made to order by hand in our workshop. This gives us complete control over the assembly process and means we can configure each chair to your individual specification. Ergonomically moulded to follow the contours of the human body, Trekinetic's unique carbon fibre seat has been designed to optimise pressure loading and provide support exactly where it's needed.
Rather than building a separate chair for youngsters, we thought we'd modify our regular manual and power chairs to be suitable for kids, so you don't need to buy another chair in a few years. With a few clever additions, both our manual and power chairs can easily be converted to accommodate children as young as five.
Around 25% of Trekinetic customers receive funding towards their wheelchair, whether that's from individual fundraising efforts, support from the NHS or a grant from a local charity. Whilst Trekinetic have worked with a number of different charities over the year, there are a vast number of organisations supporting people in all different circumstances.

Since my son has had his Trekinetic there has been no stopping him. He’s been far more independent and it’s been great that he can now go off with his friends and family to places which were inaccessible previously. One of his favourite days out so far was speeding around the silverstone track thinking he was the next Lewis Hamilton🏎.It has been life changing for us all and we can’t thank you enough,The Chappell Family x😊

I guess this picture captures why this @trekinetic wheelchair is so good. Moments like this can be missed because of not being able to walk or stand on the beach or other uneven surfaces. Most wheelchairs would not cope with this terrain. I did 5 miles of coastal pathways in comfort and with my boy on his bike so again not missing out on that vital father and child experience. I have tested other chairs and have got to say this is the best all round chair and as a bonus I don’t feel disabled sat in it because it’s super cool 😎

Personal background
I suffered a bad accident back in 2015 which led to complications and as such I required a wheelchair. I have had my eye on a Trekinetic GTE for the last few years. I thoroughly investigated their technology and personal statements for previous customers. This fitted with me for the things I wanted a wheelchair to do ( walk my dogs in all terrains and conditions ) and also make life much easier on a day to day basis. I am an engineer and worked with a high tech multi national company for many years so had a good working knowledge of exactly what they were trying to do but in

Despite the restriction of the Covid crisis the GTE has proven to be extremely agile and following some practical experience, is very capable on a wide variety of rocky, loose and slippery surfaces, tackling significant inclines both ascending and descending. It has enable me to once again, accompany my partner in ‘walking’ in the countryside.
I am impressed with the robust design and engineering quality apparent in the machine but we find it a little tricky to load in the car, but worth it!

Absolutely loved the process of purchasing my wheelchair. Whole process from sales to delivery was spot on. Customised to my needs, from utilities to colour choice. Comprehensively explained on handover and handbook too. Always at the end of the line or email for any follow ups.
I have now begun exploring more and seeing more of the countryside. I’ve been able to go to the park with my little daughter where my other NHS chair would struggle.
Just thinking about a beach trip in summer and maybe a trip abroad once the world crisis is solved. Yes it can fly!
Formula 1 of wheelchairs. Definitely

My new all-terrain chair has transformed my outdoors experience. It has given me more independence and allowed me to get places I otherwise would not. It even enabled me to have my wedding ceremony outside! Trekinetic products are engineering masterpieces and the team are fantastic.

I had forgotten what looking around me as I used to, when I could walk outside ,felt like. My old wheelchair meant I had to look at the ground to keep me safe from spinning out when it hit the slightest cambre in the pavement - I was limited to where I could go as the pavements slightest hills were a no go. Rain meant wet seat, spinning out and worrying about wet joy stick. My back would be in agony from the upright position as gravity is so heavy on an Injured spine. I hated photos bring taken as I hated the way my wheelchair looked. Well that's all in the past since I got my Trekinetc GTE I call

I’ve been a Trekinetic K2 user for nearly 10 years now and my wheelchair is just as amazing and life-changing as the day I got it. I have been up mountains, in rivers and everywhere in between with it and can 100% say that it has changed my life for the better. I couldn’t possibly have done most of what I’ve done, or where I’ve been without it. Thank you for an incredible product that has given me freedom to spread my wings and broaden my horizon once more.

Brilliant product. As close as a wheelchair will ever get to being genuinely sexy! Lots of admiring looks from, and chats with, other chair users, bikers and engineers. All fascinated by the design.
But that's not the point of course. What I love most (among many things) about my Trekinetic, is getting out and about safely and in a fun way with my children. Beaches, gardens, woodland trails, festivals, snow. They're no longer off limits.
This probably sounds like a company ad. It isn't. I just love my Trekkie...

Mitchell is 10. He is very silly. He loves his Xbox, remote control cars, sports cars, dogs and hanging out with his friends. Mitchell lives with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a genetic muscle wasting condition, which means that his muscles are weakened and he struggles to walk long distances.
As a family, we’ve always enjoyed camping and attending a local music festival, Deershed, but as Mitchell’s condition worsened it became more difficult for him to enjoy being outside and to safely get around. We saw the Trekinetic GTE online and arranged a visit from a local salesman. Mitchell adapted

Finally! A wheelchair that looks as cool as the people who use them!
Our son's Trekinetic chair has opened up a world of possibility. Sand dunes in Morocco, beaches in the in the Greek islands, playing soccer and hockey in our community leagues, and easy fun with childhood friends.
The Trekinetic offers a light weight, versatile and stylish chair that will go almost anywhere. It is a total game changer.
