Established in 1991 'the little pet company' (named after founder Shirley Little) started as a market stall in Darlaston. A market stall in Dudley soon followed leading eventually to our 3000 SQ Foot premises here at The Big Pet Store, Hereward rise in Halesowen.

Amazing service, above and beyond. Was after a harness for my cane corso, asked about it while grabbing some food and was told bring her in. Well being a big dog i thought we may have problems, but the ladies were amazing, nit only measured her up, but let her try and test them all to see what was suitable for her. Any other shop the most expensive would be best and buy if u want or if not dont, not these allowed to try on and test in car park. The lady who helped us was amazing and i couldnt rate these anymore, wont waste my time with anyone else from now on.

The Big Pet Store has become our pet shop of choice. We have a dog, birds and a guinea pig and it's great to have such a huge range of choice for all of them. There's fresh food treats for dogs as well as a wide selection of complete dry food in different size bags, so you can keep to your budget! Plenty of remedies for poorly pets as well as health care products. Any questions or advice and the staff always have time to talk with you. It's a family business and it's lovely to see it continuing to thrive.

These guys are amazing. Darren & Sam fitted our new double dog cage..nothing was too much trouble for them...even when we encountered a raised boot lip!! Delighted with the crash tested cage and our whippet Winnie settled in it straight away.

Website is very out of date with pictures showing a large stock of Royal Canin, which was what I needed. They don't actually stock any for dogs and they have only a very small selection of dry for cats, no wet at all, and this will stop when the stock is sold. Many other ranges, though most of their wet food for cats was quite expensive.

This shop is really fantastic. My children and I took my 4 month old puppy here for a harness fitting and the staff were wonderful. Extremely knowledgeable and sensitive to different budgets. Incredibly wide choice of harnesses and leads, and lots natural, high quality treats and toys. If you live anywhere near here and have a pet, you must visit The Big Pet Store!

What rude staff every time I call to spend a lot of money on my 2 dogs raw food I get a huge lecture on delivery… every time it’s different. One time it’s ‘you need to give 2 weeks notice’ another time ‘you need to give 1 weeks notice’ it’s like we are a nuisance wanting to place an order it’s horrible. So now yes when I called last I lost my rag.… But they are so so rude & the woman likes everyone the other side of the phone to think it’s just me!! We used to buy Vince the vets raw but then the discount was stopped on this

Absolutely in love with this store! It may be tucked away but it’s tuck filled with suprises! This store has everything to cater to your dogs needs and a lot of products for LARGE dogs and raw fed dogs! The… toys are great! Amazing sturdy toys! Our boy rarely gets through them! Their treat section for dogs is astounding! They have everything from the normal training treats to things such as the venison leg pictured below! And everything is so reasonably priced! And great value! The service is the same! So friendly and care for your pets! I highly recommend and Oscar enjoys going there

Really like this shop, if I had a dog I would give it five stars as there are so many unique dog treats/items. I have degus and they are fairly uncommon but this shop still has a brilliant range of things for a good price. The only reason I've not given it 5 stars is because it doesn't have all the things we need and we have to go to pets at home to get those. Namely, wooden log chewable toys and crocks green treats. Would definitely recommend this shop.

The staff here are so rude! Talking about customers under their breath when it’s the workers wrong doing! The way we were spoken to today it’s like the store doesn’t want any custom at all. Verbally abusing their customers and threatening them! This was all over social distancing, the store was full however no one was on the door controlling the… amount of people walking in and out! Baring in mind one worker stood behind the counter with no mask on and the worker who was shouting stood behind the counter with her mask down eating! Think the manager should have a word with
