Quality costume hire for musical theatre, Pantomime, Fancy Dress and Corporate Events across the UK. A small but busy team design, produce and co-ordinate costumes for our clients all across the UK and Ireland. Clients are welcome to visit us by appointment to discuss their project, view existing stock, or discuss the manufacture of new garments.

Molly Limpet's hires a variety of 1920s quality fancy dress costumes, including men's suiting (great for the Great Gatsby themes), gangster suits, zoot suits and Norfolk suits. We also have some very 'British' striped blazer costume options, which come complete with straw boater hats, shirts and trousers.
Molly Limpet's carries a selection of 1940s suits, dresses and World War II military uniforms for hire. For gents, we have reproduction hand-tailored 1940s suits cut from vintage '40s patterns in quality fabrics, as well as a range of military uniforms for hire including RAF, Home Guards / Army battle dress, Navy, Coastguard army officers and American GIs.
Molly Limpet's has a wide range of bespoke 1950s fancy dress costumes for hire. Apopular choice for many of our customers is our set of bespoke Teddy Boy drape suits. These have all been designed and made in-house by Molly Limpet's from vintage patterns and are often hired by groups for parties, events and performances across the UK.

I used Molly Limpet’s for my Halloween costume and I’m glad I did. Chose the skeletor costume they offer and it was amazing quality, fit perfectly, and was comfortable. Went into town wearing it Halloween night and had so many people speaking to me about the outfit saying how good it was.

Considering I couldn't travel to the shop, the customer service is amazing! Nick was extremely helpful and detailed. The pricing is ideal for the outfit and time I hired. Nothing bad to say honestly, the dress was beautiful and everything I imagined.

WEll what can I say. We wanted to hire an 18th Century costume for a photoshoot - all was arranged.......and then came Lockdown No 1. Everything put on hold and a very, very helpful Nick at MLs also kindly agreed to put my hire on hold.
Little did I know that it was going to be over 12 months later that we did the shoot. A BIG thank you to all at MLs who kept my hire going through numerous lockdowns but also supplied a fantastic outfit. The costume, complete with kidney hips, was not a cheap fancy dress outfit but the genuine article that could have easily been used in a high end television production

How amazing and simple it was to hire dance-quality lycra costumes and boots for our Mamma Mia performance for our graduates. They even arrived with time for a dress rehearsal!
