David has a degree in "Renewable Energy Technology" and was one of the first in Wales to complete the course. Richard has over 50 years experience in industrial engineering and his own plumbing and electrical business. Hafod Renewable Energy has achieved combined success in both the design and implementation of renewable heating and solar projects across North Wales, Cheshire, Lancashire and Merseyside.
South facing 35 degree pitch is the ideal scenario of the UK, however an east facing roof with a 20 degree slop will only lose 15% so as long as the roof faces at least 90 degrees from south and the angle of the roof is between 10 and 45 degrees it will more than likely be viable. Currently the feed in tariff will pay you for generating electricity PLUS and export tariff that will pay you a deemed 50% of what you generate.
Brief: Hafod Installed a 4 Kw south facing solar PV system in the Winter of 2015 for Mr and Mrs Johnson's home in Denbigh. In the winter of 2016, One year after installation, Mr Johnson took a generation meter reading which was 3940 kwh. This was a remarkable year of generation and the solar panels actually generated more electricity than the house consumed.

We found Hafod Renewable Energy who fitted our air source heating system to be an excellent company, very professional and they completed the installation within the time and price quoted and as described in their sales literature.
Their technicians, who had an in depth knowledge of the system were impressive, conscientious and caring, always polite and very much considered our needs whilst they were working, keeping their disruption of the house services to a minimum and giving us plenty of notice when services would be disrupted.

Excellent service despite shocking weather!
Installed solar PV plus water heating diversion and car charger. Thoroughly professional. Dave even plugged his own car into the charger to check it was working because we haven’t got ours yet. Delighted with all the free hot water since the system was installed and our electricity bills have halved.

We had a very good consultation service from Hafod prior to installing the air heat pump, and had a date for the two-days installation work.
On the day, a Hafod installation team (two men) arrived and installation was prompt; we had hot water and central heating at the end of the second day. However, there was one missing component which delayed the completion of the work for another week and was an unexpected inconvenience for us.
However, we are happy with the professional way in which the Hafod team conducted the work and themselves and with the outcome. Now we have a fully functioning system

Hafod Renewables are an excellent company to deal with. The gave me initial advice on which heat pump to install and surveyed my house to check on the best way to do so. They kept me informed of the installation date and how long it would be; they did as they said. The engineers were very good and tidied up after each day's work. Everything about the system was explained to me. Within two days of completion my RHI was set up by Hafod. I would recommend them highly.

Hafod installed a GSHP at my property. The house had complicated legacy plumbing and Hafod did a great job assessing the job and providing a detailed price for the GSHP installation and some additional plumbing inside my property. Hafod didn't go over the costs and met my expectations. Their workmanship was good and the installation guys very professional. The system is now up and running and RHI payments successfully applied for which they managed. 5 stars for Hafod and would definitely recommend.

Hafod Renewable Energy Ltd is a wonderful company. Right from initial site visit with David and liaison with Mike at the office, through to installation and assistance with RHI /FIT applications, I found everyone I dealt with to be friendly helpful and professional. The five installers Luke Henry Lee Matt and Josh were really fantastic, and did everything they could do to install my ASHP system and Solar on time despite terrible gales and storms.
