Founded in 1974, GSM Graphic Arts was the founding company of the GSM group. Based in Thirsk, North Yorkshire, they specialised in the manufacture of metal nameplates and labels. Rapid growth followed and in 1979, Valtech Industries was purchased and moved to the Thirsk site, bringing machining and fabricating capabilities to GSM for the first time.
Valtech specialised in products for laboratories, including machined pressure receptacles and magnetic stirring units. Sheet metal capability was later added with the introduction of CNC punching and folding equipment.

GSM Valtech is a sub-contract sheet metal fabrication company. We have many 'in-house' processes and further sub-contract supply partners giving you a complete service. In-house processes include; sheet metal design, laser cutting, CNC punching, CNC folding, welding, self clinching fasteners, alocrom, powder coating, silk screen printing and electro mechanical assembly.

As bespoke sheet metal manufacturers, we have a full manufacturing capability which enables GSM to offer CNC Punching, Folding and Milling, Laser Cutting, Welding, Fasteners and Powder Coating, providing the complete metal enclosure service. We regularly CNC Punch sheet metals, including aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel, in most standard thicknesses from 0.3mm to 6mm.

GSM Valtech specialises in the design and manufacture of graphic panels and fascias. You can make a feature of your electrical control panel using graphic overlays and membrane keypads supplied by us. We have supplied custom front panels for many years. We manufacture them from a range of materials, including aluminium, mild steel, zintec, acrylic and stainless steel, using a number of different processes.
