Recently moved to the area and Glover and Hobbs was recommended to me.
Booked in for the appointments and was looked after very well for both glasses and contact lens.
Choose some new glasses, Claire helped me choose from lots of frames, too many to choose from, they arrived when they we’re supposed to. Had them fitted and there great, had so many compliments so thank you Claire for helping me choose.
I recommend to anyone and everyone, you won’t be disappointed.

Nice people with little empathy. I broke a lens on my every day glasses which John supplied and I urgently needed the lenses replaced. I didn't flinch at the almost £700 charged just for lenses albeit they are complex but unbelievably I ended up chasing several times and got them five weeks later, I was dependant on these and not even an apology on collection. Unfortunately this long wait time has happened before with previous glasses. All the superlatives on the website only apply if they can be delivered.

First rate Opticians, very thorough eye test, much more than all other places I have used before. Been seeing John for several years, always happy to offer guidance when choosing glasses and so is Amanda. Amanda has spent many hours with me trying to decide which frames work and look good ! Highly recommend and after sales service is second to none. :)

Exceptional service and professionalism. The care and attention to detail with eye examinations followed through with superb aftercare is second to none. Glover & Hobbs is without a doubt the best opticians I have ever used in the 55 years I have worn both glasses and contact lenses. They may not offer all the gimmicks of high street opticians but if you want excellent eye care there is no where better in my view and would not hesitate to recommend them.
