Personal Images was established in 1989 and in the 25 years since then, we have built a strong reputation as quality engravers of all types of glass, wood, metal and stone. Our studio and shop is in Mildenhall, near Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, where all the artwork, engraving, packing and distribution is carried out on the premises.
We pride ourselves on having a completely in-house service and cover all of East Anglia inlcuding Cambridge, Newmarket and Ely. We can also post orders to customers further afield. We specialise in the personalisation of individual giftware - making each item an original and therefore a very special present.

Here at Personal Images we have more than 25 years of engraving experience and we want to share our passion with you to help you realise your ideas. Personal Images was established in 1989 and is run by brother and sister Lucy and Charlie. Being a small family run business we are proud to offer you a personal service where we care for each of our customers and their ideas.
When an image is engraved black areas will be etched into the glass and white areas will be left clear. Any grey tones or colours cannot be reproduced in an engraving. With this in mind, artwork should preferably be supplied as a high definition black/white image, minimum 300dpi and in an image format (JPEG, GIF, TIFF etc.) The quality of the design can only be as good as the image provided.
Personal Images believes that an engraved item is a very personal gift. When you have selected the gift you wish to purchase you must also select a type face that you wish to be used for your engraving. The amount of text which can be engraved depends on each item - if we feel that there is not enough room for what is being ordered we will contact you by e-mail with alternative text.

Ordered a vase for Mum’s 80th Birthday 3 years ago and sister loved it so much (as did Mum) that have just ordered one for sister’s 60th Birthday. Very good quality, cut crystal vase, fantastic communication with the team so we got the personalized message on the vase tweaked and perfected. Lovely design with birds and swirls. Very happy. Soon as final approval on the wording was emailed then the vase was ready to pick up a couple days later. Brilliant. Thank you.

I cannot recommend this company highly enough. The quality of their work is of the highest standard. We recently purchased a pair of engraved tumblers for a colleague and friend who is leaving; we wanted to present him with a gift which would be personal, and would remind him of his time with us. After discussing what we wanted, Personal Images sent over a design to look at on the same day, two days later the tumblers were ready to collect. Our colleague was absolutely thrilled with his gift, they look absolutely amazing. Will definitely use again, great company!

I was completely overwhelmed by the sign that was made for my classroom; it is beautifully finished and has already attracted a lot of positive attention from colleagues and students. I provided a very vague idea of what I wanted and the final product exceeded all of my expectations. The customer service was exceptional with excellent communication and proactivity - I placed my order last minute, and my sign was posted and arrived promptly in time for my classes to begin! Fabulous company. If I need engraving done, they are my people. Quality Engraving with pro service, that's fast and reasonably priced. They went above and beyond when i did not send the confirmation email of the engraving proof. He corrected and sent me updated proof outside of work hours. Fabulous. Would give them 6/5 stars. If you need engraving work done, make them your first stop.

Amazing service! I’ve used Personal Images a few times for really unique presents and they never fail to impress.
I recently purchased two personalised gin glasses and was extremely pleased with the professional yet very personal service.
I even asked for a slight alteration in the design, at short notice, and was so appreciative at how quickly they confirmed the changes for the finished products. Can’t wait to give the glasses as a birthday present and see the look of my friends face - also a massive bonus that they come so nicely packaged that I don’t even have to do that myself
