Where an organisation's risk assessment of First Aid needs identifies that there is a requirement for Emergency First Aid at Work practitioners, then this national Award in Emergency First Aid at Work satisfies the requirements of the regulatory body for First Aid - the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
It is a requirement of the Health & Safety law that employers provide a safe and healthy environment to work in. If your assessment of first aid needs highlights the need for qualified first aiders, then this level 3 qualification (level 6 in Scotland) will provide you with suitable, highly trained personnel.
This 2-day First Aid at Work course is designed for those who currently hold a First Aid at Work qualification and are due to expire. A First Aider can renew their FAW qualification by attending a 2-day requalification course without question if it's within 1 month past the expiry date.

If the First Aider has lapsed by more than 1 month, but no longer than 3 months, then the First Aider can requalify by attending a 2-day course providing 'Special considerations' have been applied.A signed letter from the employer to the provider of the training stating the reasons why in their opinion, the First Aider is suitably experienced to attend a 2-day course and does not require a full 3-day FAW course.
This training enables users to administer oxygen safely and effectively, for casualties with breathing difficulties. Delegates will learn how and when to administer oxygen to a casualty and the safety concerns with carrying, storing and administering it.

This course is suitable for qualified First Aiders, Emergency First Aiders, dental practitioners and dental care professionals, nurses, healthcare professionals and others working in an environment where oxygen is available for casualty welfare. This is a classroom-based course of 6 contact hours. Dependent on the learner's experience, there may well be some pre-course or post-course reading.

I attended a L3 catastrophic bleed course with Julian. I have worked in the Arb industry for 30 years and have attended many first aid courses. This one was by far the best, tailored to real life scenarios I am likely to deal with, great use of props and prosthetics which reinforced how quick and calm actions can help you manage a life threatening injury situation. If you want the real deal, M.S.I. are the go to team.
