Lancashire Lawncare is a family run lawn care company based in Preston, Lancashire providing lawn treatment solutions to the business, residential and government market sectors for the whole of Lancashire and beyond. Michael started the business in 2003 after having spent some time observing the lawncare business of a friend in Crewe.
He then was able to utilise his customer service background and combine it with this knowledge to create a business that prides itself on customer care. His wife, Kate, is the company secretary and assists with running the office, and looking after Michael and their 3 boys! Michael and Kate's eldest son, George, joined the business in 2018 having finished his accountancy course at Runshaw College.

An expanse of well cared for grass sets the perfect scene for the rest of the garden. Lancashire Lawncare is a lawn care treatment company who operate exclusively in the North West. Based in Preston, Lancashire Lawncare has been providing lawn care services throughout Lancashire for over 17 years now.
Through a routine maintenance programme we can ensure a lawn reaches its full potential. Scarification once or twice a year will remove the moss and thatch once the moss has been treated, usually over late Autumn through to early Spring. Regular feeding in Spring, Summer and Autumn will stimulate active growth and produce a rich green colour.
Many lawns have compacted soil that restricts the movement of air, water and nutrients to the grass roots. As a result, this provides a breeding ground for moss. To improve the compaction in your soil, it is recommended that you have your lawns hollow-tine aerated. This can be a difficult job to do manually and requires the use of a Hollow Tine Aerator if it is to be done properly.
Lawn disease can be caused by stress - we all know how that can feel and so illness occurs. But the great thing is, we can treat it, and even better, we can prevent it. After years of neglect I suspected my lawn weed problem was beyond redemption. I gave Michael a call and after just two treatments was amazed at the improvement. My lawn had never looked so green and weed free. Don't waste time with store bought treatments. Call in the professionals. Price is very reasonable and results are spectacular.

Michael came to see me this morning to offer advice. He was here on time as promised, and gave me a really good overview of the issues my lawn has, and as a bonus and wasn’t too hard on me for my attempts to sort it myself! There was no hard sell, no pushing to sign up for services, just good, honest, straight advice. The biggest surprise was the cost, so much more reasonable than I’d anticipated. So Lancashire Lawncare will now be looking after my lawns, a good local company with genuine staff. Thoroughly recommended

I have been a client of Lancashire Lawncare for almost 20 years and found them to be completely professional. They treat my lawn at regular intervals during the year, ensuring it is always looking good and in tiptop condition. At the beginning of the growing season they scarify it and hollow tine it which promotes healthy growth for the following year. Can't recommend them to highly - 20 years of weedless lawn.

Used this service for many years. Have had a problem with moss which came to a head last April. Told the rep that I wasn't happy and he said that I hadn't opted for the "extra moss treatment" then blamed the tree shade. When I pointed out that there was moss where no tree shade existed, he said it would be better if his boss came round as he "had much more experience" and we left it at that. After phoning several times I received an answer phone message which gave a mobile number. Phoned that and spoke to a very rude and aggressive person who told me that it was my fault that I hadn't had the lawn
