Peter is an independently run Italian pizzeria, founded in 2013 with only one mission: to cure the injured name of pizza. The pizza you see today is usually deep-pan, thin & crispy or stuffed crust - but these are more modern, American varieties; aka 'imposters'. Peter pizza is authentic, traditional, Neapolitan pizza - the original and best, made fresh on site each day for you.
We go above and beyond to make our pizza as authentic as possible. Our bases are made from hand-shaped, fermented sourdough which use caputo flour (said to be the best in the world), and our ingredients are either sourced from Italy, or locally in Leicestershire. But we aren't just known for our pizza.

Services
Loughborough is home to our very first Peter pizzeria, which opened in 2013. Originally the Crown & Cushion Public House, the venue is now decorated in our signature style: relaxed and quirky in all the right places. From cool upcycled furniture to the best pizza you'll find outside of Italy, we're truly individual.
Our Leicester pizzeria is a Grade II listed building in the city centre - a real piece of Leicester history. Formerly a gentleman's club, keep your eye out for an array of original features (but don't look away from your pizza for too long, they have feelings you know!) Watch a movie whilst you devour your pizza and relax with friends in a homely & friendly environment.
Thanks to our one-of-a-kind pizza truck, Pete on the Street, we're continuing our mission to cure the injured name of pizza out on the road. Made from an old shipping container on wheels, the truck is complete with a fully functioning wood burning oven making the same delicious Peter pizzas you've come to know and love, no matter where you are.
Pizza bases are made from sourdough which has been fermented for 20 hours and hand shaped. Generously topped with artisan ingredients, they are then blasted in the hand-built Italian wood oven for a mere 90 seconds, resulting in delicious, crusty and slightly charred pizza perfection.
Starting from a modest 7.50 for the "Queen Margherita" - the Neapolitan classic - there's also an excellent range of gourmet toppings for those feeling more adventurous and be sure to look out for the must-try "Pizza of the month".Don't forget to save room for the tempting dessert selection, including the very popular Nutella pizza.

Apart from eating in our amazing pizzerias, there's nothing better than enjoying real, italian pizza in the comfort of your own home. Deliveroo makes this possible in Loughborough, Leicester and Nottingham. Find us on Deliveroo here. Or if you're on the go and want to pick up a Peter, call us or pop in and pick up one (or three) to takeaway.

So first time eating here. The experience was OK. When I was placing my order at the counter, I was in the middle of ordering when the phone rang and the worker picked up the phone. Rude.
The food as decent. Roast beef and pizza were acceptable. They did charge me an extra .50 cents for cheese on the roast beef sandwich. Cheese should be included on the sandwich.

Definitely the worst pizza place in Wilmington, stay away. Ordered a BLT and it came on a hamburger bun, barely any bacon and a single small slice of tomato. Whoever was up front was very careless and inattentive and presumably the owner, as he said my order would be almost ready, then proceeded to ask his mom right after to begin making the sandwich.
On top of this the place was very careless on coronavirus regulation, no masks and no care for spacing.
Spend your money at any other pizza place in Wilmington and you will surely be satisfied, but not here.
You’ve been warned!

We moved to Wilmington in November. We have tried this place 5+ times. Tonight we ordered two salads and an order of mozzarella sticks. First of all it took 1.5+ hours to arrive (we are less than 1.5 miles away). Second, the mozzarella sticks were ice cold and the salad with chicken was wilted because it had clearly been sitting for a very long time. Third (and this has been every single time we have ordered). when you call to find out what could possibly be taking so long they say "all orders have been sent out it should be there any minute". I will NEVER order form this place again. Food is mediocre
