Orchard School of Music has been established since 1990, teaching a wide variety of pupils from a young age to over 70 years old. I am a graduate music teacher and retired examiner, teaching all brass instruments, including trumpet piano, music theory and diplomas. Help can also be provided for GCSE and A-level exams.

Before working as a private music teacher I taught piano, brass and theory in schools for a number of years. Music lessons are taught on a one to one basis and include musical theory and sight reading. All piano teaching includes learning the treble and bass clef notation. I do not insist that my students take musical examinations, although the majority do progress up to Grade 8 and Diploma level.
Services
Some of the advantages include stimulating the brain (which makes you smarter) hearing and memory. It improves reading and encourages creativity if you make up your own tunes! Adding daily practise to your routine encourages organisation and it certainly boosts your self esteem when you perform to your friends and family.
Piano lessons from beginner to advanced diploma level, developing technique, evenness of tonality and finger flexibility and expression. I have been teaching piano for well over 25 years! Piano lessons do not have to be all about achieving grades and I teach all styles either for academic purposes or just for fun.
Specialist trumpet lessons Nottingham, dealing with embouchure and technique improvements, especially for the advanced performer. Covering B flat and C, D and E flat instruments. Emphasis on articulation, high register tonality and projection of tone and lip flexibility. For more information or to arrange a consultation lesson, please call 0115 9670811, or use the trumpet lesson contact form.
I teach musical theory from absolute beginner stage, right up to Grade 8 and Diploma level. I also provide theory lessons for GCSE and A Level pupils who need an extra helping hand. Musical theory is often described as the way musicians play instruments or how they write and understand music. Generally my music theory lessons are booked weekly, however one off lessons can sometimes be provided.
It does not matter whether you are looking to learn keyboard for fun or to pass the grades. I am happy to teach any keyboard playing to suit you. However, I do teach correct playing technique which will help you throughout your learning and beyond. I teach keyboard from beginners right up to advanced players so any standard of playing is welcome.

Clive teachers my son to play the cornet and my daughter the piano. They really enjoy their lessons and both are improving.

I always look forward to my daughters Piano lessons with Clive. She knew nothing when she started, now she can read music and play beautifully. He always makes her laugh and she learns well in the atmosphere. Thanks Clive :)
