We offer great quality eyewear at an upfront, affordable price in an environment you can trust. Gone are the days of stressing over unnecessary add-ons. At IOLLA, your prescription doesn't affect the price you pay. All of our frames are handmade and designed to last, using the very best quality components and materials available.
We exist to make people look and feel great and that's why we're committed to doing good by all of our customers, and never leaving anyone with a product that they're not completely satisfied with. Within the year, if you experience a genuine fault with your glasses we'll replace them for free. If you're not happy with your choice of glasses, we'll do our best to get you looking and feeling great with a pair that you love.
All of our frames are designed in-house. By drawing on our own inspiration and listening to feedback from the IOLLA community, we put together mood boards for inspiration of shapes, colours, and details we think you'll love. We make sure that you are always choosing between the most up-to-date trends and feeling great about your eyewear wardrobe.
All of our glasses are assembled with lenses in our Glasgow workshop. This means we can complete your frame with prescription lenses and send them directly to you from there. From choosing to receiving your eyewear we ensure your experience is the best we can make it, tracking each stage of the process to ensure you receive your perfect pair on time and to the highest quality of British standards.
We are extremely proud to continue our support and celebrate the work of Orbis, an organisation who give communities across the world access to quality eye care. Our most recent donation has been put towards the REACH programme in Nepal, which focuses on reducing visual impairment among children and making sustainable quality eye care available to all.

Popped into the Iolla city centre store which was bright, airy and well laid out with plenty of unique and stylish frames on offer. After narrowing it down to a couple of frames a polite assistant was on hand to provide some style advice and identified some frames that suited me better. After a quick measure and a week wait the glasses arrived at my door and I couldn't be happier with the service and fit. My prescription usually means I have to pay over the odds for lense thinning but the simple pricing structure makes Iolla excellent value!

My optician recommended Iolla as I was looking for evening glasses for nights out etc now I can no longer wear contact lenses. Iolla have a huge amount of really lovely frames that I haven’t seen in my usual optician’s. I ordered a pair and have another pair in my favourites which I hope to order next month. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Will definitely use again.

I booked a slot online , got help on the web chat to organise the correct appointment and received fantastic customer care.. Glasses tightened, expert adjustments, professional advice and friendly service. All Covid procedures in place made me feel very safe. I even had help in choosing new sunglasses and will return soon to place an order. The staff are amazing at this store. 10/10 .

Staff are really helpful, especially when you have to try on every pair of glasses at least 3 times like I did (sorry!) they're cleaning every pair after use and it's really efficient. We were in to purchase our 2nd pair from Iolla and we'll probably be back for a 3rd pair at some point too when their new lines come in.

Came in on the 10th to look at glasses and they arrived today! I love them so much, I've had so many glasses over the years it's hard to count but with my prescription being so high I usually need to pay upwards of £50 for thinning alone after cost of frames- so was so pleased to see iolla offer this free of charge!? Megan was super helpful and friendly when I was in and they have a great variety of glasses to choose from, will keep coming back here 😊

Found IOLLA because of Peaky Blinders and on IG. On my recent visit to Glasgow I had to make a stop here and pick up some glasses. Went to the Westend showroom and had a great, friendly, quick experience with the staff. Tried on a lot of frames and picked the Anderson in brown stripe. I forgot my prescription at the hotel but I was told I could upload a photo onto their site when I got back. Sweet! I had to pay 15 pounds extra because it will need to be shipped to Hawaii which will take about a month. It'll be worth it!!! Everything was top notch.

After seeing the overwhelming amount of 5 star reviews I decided to visit the shop for my sunglasses purchase. The website lists all of the models that you'd find in the stores and I am quite happy that they have a good variety of models without that being overwhelming.
The assistants at the store are very kind and helpful. They gave me good advice when choosing between a couple of models and some useful tips. In the end I purchased a pair that fits my face very well (so that sunlight does not enter from the sides) and the frames were readjusted at purchase for an even better fit.

I recently had to get new glasses, and decided to go to Iolla. I live just around the corner and had walked past several times, admiring their pretty window displays. Plus I had heard good things about them, and £65 pounds for a pair of glasses sounded like a really good offer!
Both times I went in the shop was quiet, which was lovely as it gave me time to look around in peace. The shop assistants I've met have all been really nice, and strike the right balance between being helpful without being pushy! I hate spectacle shopping normally. I feel we get ripped off and over charged for frames in comparison to what they actually cost to make. Well that is all over it seems. I noticed all the cool kids had found a new place to shop for their new frames and I thought I would Sneak in and pretend to be one to. All them other reviews explain the low down on this place. So I won't go into to much detail but here are the main points.

Update time! So my visit to Iolla was very smooth and straightforward (see initial review) and I waited to get my glasses in the mail. I'd been into Iolla and placed my order on a Tuesday and they'd advised a 9 day waiting period for them to arrive, but on the Thursday evening I got an email saying they were going to be delivered on Friday. Win!
They arrived nicely packaged (see photos) and in hard cases with cleaning cloths inside. My only gripe was that my measurements had been taken for them to adjust the length of the arms but they didn't seem to have been adjusted. That wasn

My mother always told me, don't be afraid to splurge on glasses because they are the window through which everybody sees your face....well, when custom glasses like Iolla's are only £65 a full set including lenses that means I just buy every single frame I fancy! Call me crazy, but I bought 4 pairs! And here was my mental justification:
Tortoise shell grey and black frame: First pair I was drawn too and they looked HOT!
Amber framed sunglasses: Always wanted amber frames, but they look stupid with my dark features.. pop in a sunglass lens and BOom I'm in love.

Iolla seems to be all over social media at the moment so I was very excited to pay them my first visit a few weeks ago.
We were met in the super trendy but welcoming showroom by co-owners Stefan and Brian who were both absolutely lovely and so helpful when helping us pick our frames.
They were extremely patient as I destroyed all of their pretty displays in the shop trying on practically every style and colour of frames in the store...of which there are many.
In the end I settled on 3 pairs of glasses...I know I know 3 pairs is outrageous but there are so many cool designs in really interesting

Iolla is a new brand of prescription eyewear that aims to revolutionise the traditional optical market. Glasses are designed and assembled in Scotland to provide higher-quality, better-looking eyewear at a fraction of the current price. £65 gets you fabulous frames, thin lenses and anti-glare and anti-scratch coating if your prescription is between certain parameters. I have a strong prescription and have a slight astigmatism and that was included, too!
