I have been established as a chiropractor in Quorn since 2001, and in full time practice in the Loughborough and Leicester area since graduating from the McTimoney College of Chiropractic (Oxford) in 1996 with a Diploma In Chiropractic. My first contact with chiropractic was as a patient in 1982. I received treatment for a back problem from several Osteopaths and Chiropractors, and eventually came across McTimoney Chiropractic.
Chiropractic originated over 100 years ago in the USA where there are differing traditions employing different techniques. Chiropractic treatment consists of manipulative techniques known as "adjustments". Numerous methods of adjustment have evolved over the years and one of these is McTimoney Chiropractic.
Craniosacral therapy developed from the work of an American osteopath, Dr William Sutherland in the early 1900s. In a typical craniosacral session, you will usually lie (or sometimes sit) fully-clothed on a treatment couch. The therapist will make contact by placing their hands lightly on your body.
The Acupuncturist has practised this system of medicine and art in China for over two thousand years. Acupuncture is part of the traditional Chinese system of medicine which includes exercise (such as Tai Chi), herbal medicine, massage and diet. This system of medicine sees man as an integral part of nature and recognises health to be a state of harmony within ourselves, not only in our physical body, but also in our mind and spirit.
As there are currently no restrictions to prevent unqualified people setting themselves up as Chinese herbalists, it is important that you verify the qualifications of a prospective practitioner. Members of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine have satisfied strict criteria as to their training and qualifications.

I have been going to see Vasanthy for a little while now and I cannot rate her enough! I suffer with psoriasis which I have had for years and years, I have tried lots of different types of steroids, non of which have worked (only masks the problem) Since Vasanthy has been treating me with a mix of acupuncture and herbs my psoriasis has significantly improved. It has just about cleared from my skin and my scalp is nowhere near as sore or itchy. She is amazing!
