Antique wood flooring provides a connection to the outdoors and the wonders of the natural world. Due to their rich and long lives, antique wood floors are steeped in history and authenticity, their vintage patinas evidence of both their beauty and our eco-philosophy. We've been honing our craft for over 25 years, learning everything we can about bringing old wood back to life and honouring the timeless tradition of wood floor making.
Reclaimed wood flooring is wood sourced from existing historical buildings, before being repurposed and transformed into a reclaimed engineered wood floor in our Cheshire workshops. Reclaimed flooring products are often rare one-off pieces, packed with history, elegant imperfections, and feature original patinas that give undeniable character to floors.
Handmade wooden floors are floors that have not been processed and crafted with the use of machinery, making them versatile, hardwearing and enduring in appeal. Not all floors are created equal and we make no apologies for the fact that we regard our handcrafted wood flooring as a cut above the rest.
Engineered flooring is undoubtedly the most common construction we use at Ted Todd and Woodworks by Ted Todd. Whilst for many years, and still to this day in some cases, solid wood flooring has reigned as a good quality choice, engineered wood flooring has the edge and is certainly the king when it comes to construction.

I have a small Joinery company in Knutsford, we often get asked to fit wood floors. We originally started off on the internet using a cheap engineered solution but we have had problems with, quality, inconsistent colour & poor finish.
With Ted Todd the clients can go online or into the showroom & choose the flooring, Ted Todd deliver the flooring to site, generally the next working day.
We are so busy at the moment we need to have reliable suppliers. The trauma with the last company of having a bad batch of wood rejected was horrendous.
I have found Ted Todd to be excellent from start to finish

Excellent showroom, fantastic range of products, very helpful staff. Being open Sunday is a bonus.
I'd really recommend going to the showroom. We'd spent weeks getting small samples from other suppliers - at this showroom you can see large samples of the entire range. The only danger is that you'll be distracted by the wonderful variety!
