Steyning Bookshop
We hold regular 'Author Suppers' at the Sussex Produce caf, and have frequent children's author events and workshops at the shop. We also organise book. Walkers, cyclists and tourists - look no further for an unrivalled selection of maps, guidebooks, walking guides and local history!

Essential reading for anyone feeling full of despair in these difficult times, Dutch historian Rutger Bregman's fresh take on human nature is heartening and optimistic. From Machiavelli to Hobbes, Freud to Dawkins, in religion, fiction, science, psychology and sociology, we have been taught that human beings are by nature selfish and governed by self-interest.
Services
The Steyning Bookshop is a small family run bookshop in the beautiful Sussex Downland market town of Steyning. We stock a wide range of new fiction and non-fiction, with a particular specialisation in children's books and local-interest books, maps and guides. Clambering on the big red wooden book-train which forms the centrepiece of the children's area in the shop is the highlight of a visit for many of our younger customers.
Walkers, cyclists and tourists - look no further for an unrivalled selection of maps, guidebooks, walking guides and local history! We always keep the OS Landranger and Explorer maps to the area in stock and offer fast ordering for anything not on the shelves.

We also have a great fondness for the work of artists Eric Ravilious and Eric Slater, who captured the essence of the South Downs in their prints and paintings, and always keep in stock the beautiful collections of Ravilious' works published by the Mainstone Press, and the slim volume 'Slater's Sussex' published by James Trollope.
We have over 30 years' experience in working with schools, whether it be organising book fairs, arranging author visits, consulting on school libraries & classroom book corners, or preparing selections of topic-based books for teachers to choose from. We also provide a speedy and reliable ordering service for all your classroom needs, and can quickly deliver book tokens for prize-giving.

I love this place so much!
The staff are wonderfully helpful, sourcing unusual books and often for next day delivery. They are full of helpful advice and very knowledgeable.
The cards and wrapping papers are also a joy.
We are so lucky to have this shop nearby.

Found this amazing bookshop online. The owners helped with a request for a signed book for my son's school - which will help loads of children to be happy. Will return to buy more items, and hopefully come to visit your shop personally. Thank you again.
