Services
Indigo Renewable Energies provide specialist installation of Air Source Heat Pumps, Ground Source Heat Pumps, Biomass and Solar Thermal Systems within the Midlands. We are based in central Leicestershire with a proven track record and an excellent reputation in delivering not just renewable systems but whole house solutions, encompassing renewables, plumbing, heating, gas installations and servicing.
Air source heat pumps extract heat from the outside air, the heat is then absorbed at a low temperature into a fluid. The fluid is passed through a compressor where the temperature is increased and used to heat your home and water. The air source heat pump system generally comprises of an outside unit, with the controls and hot water storage cylinder located inside the property.
Send us some plans and a brief outline of the age of your building/s and thermal insulation and we can start the ball rolling to get you a fixed price quotation! We cannot provide a cost estimate at the beginning as we won't know enough about your property or the installation required. Normally, it takes around 6-8 weeks depending on the complexity and size of your project.
Solar thermal systems captures energy from the sun via panels or evacuated tubes. The sun heats the panels or tubes, the fluid from which is then pumped through the system into coils within the hot water cylinder, transferring heat into the water stored there. This is then used to heat your home.
The most common place to mount the solar thermal panels is on a south facing roof but they can be orientated to accommodate west or east facing buildings. Please call us on 0116 260 8002 for any questions regarding solar thermal. We can offer you advice on any questions you may have.

The simplest way of using many forms of biomass for energy is simply burning it. Doing so in an enclosure, in which the airflow is restricted, will be far more efficient than burning it in the open. This enclosure can be used to provide heat for the room it stands in (a stove) or, heating water and pumping it through pipes, it can provide heat to several rooms, and/or domestic hot water.

Do not risk using this company. They are unreliable, do not keep to their word, you cannot ever get hold of them by phone, closely watch the quotes as they overcharge and beware of pointing out concerns as they respond defensively, rudely and threatened not to finish the job. They pulled out of the Green Homes Grant scheme at the last hour, after I had waited months for my voucher. It has altogether been a big mistake trying to use this local company. It is not worth the grief. Do not be pulled in by the pricing!
Christian, your response is not factual. I contacted you last on 12th March to inform

After a thorough research of the market and options for my 'off-grid' property I contacted Indigo and have been thoroughly impressed with their obvious knowledge, which is a 'given', along with their professional, friendly (and unpushy!) manner. Options available were patiently explained and their quote was very competitive (I shopped around, it's what I do!). Great service.

Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value
I found Indigo thoroughly professional, extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I do not enjoy high-pressure sales tactics and I felt that Indigo (Christian) conveyed the pros and cons of each of my options without any hard sell and left it for me to make my choice with full technical and cost-benefit options explained. Very impressed.
