We also have extensive experience of dealing with matters of residence for tax purposes. We support accountants and their clients in dealing with HMRC investigations, complex tax matters and conflict of interest situations.

Services
We provide specialist tax investigation and tax advisory services predominantly in Teesside, Darlington and the surrounding areas. Our principal has almost a decades experience as a senior inspector at HMRC and more than 5 years as a tax manager, then tax partner, at a well respected local firm. She has had both HMRCas highest level of training, and is a Chartered Tax Adviser, so is well versed in seeing both sides of an argument.
As we do not prepare account, or offer tax return compliance services, we are in a position to help you with tax related matters, with no risk to your ongoing relationship with your clients. Having both the highest level of HMRC training (CPT FTII), and the highest level of professional tax qualifications (CTA), we are in a position to truly understand both sides of the fencea when dealing with tax matters.
We advise on the tax implications of Corporate transactions, Property transactions, and Inheritance Tax and Trusts. Depending on the nature of the transaction we can be engaged by your client directly, or engaged by you so you can pass on the advice. We can also support you and your clients where there is an existing tax adviser who is in a potential conflict of interest position.
If you are subject to HMRC investigation, and do not have specialist support we can work with you and your existing accountant to ensure the best possible outcome. When HMRC open an investigation, they will often have specific information causing them to think there may be issues with your tax return (even if that information proves to be incorrect).
