Atrium is a family owned and run company which for the past 40 years has specialised in the manufacture and installation of hardwood windows, doors, orangeries and conservatories. We are based in the Herefordshire town of Kington and operate from three factories with the assistance of 20 craftsmen.
As a point of principle we carry out all functions including all building works ourselves. We do not use the services of subcontractors. We are pleased to hold an enviable reputation for quality which results in most of our work being recommended to us by previous customers. You will rarely, if ever, see Atrium advertised!

Atrium - the home of hand-crafted timeless quality hardwood conservatories, orangeries and windows and doors. At Atrium we manufacture hardwood conservatories, orangeries and windows and doors in our own Herefordshire workshops. With over 40 years of experience we combine traditional woodworking with the latest in joinery and finishing techniques to produce some of the finest conservatories and orangeries in virtually any imaginable style!
We are a FENSA registered company and issue insurance backed guarantees and a CE Declaration of Performance with all replacement windows and doors. The specification cannot be fully comprehensive (as a written standard) due to the bespoke and often very individual nature of the items we build. The particular specification of each varies in order that a desired end result is achieved.
Planning policies vary from area to area. In many cases planning permission is not required for the erection of a Conservatory or Orangery or the installation of replacement windows and doors. However we would be happy to advise on any formal regulatory matter required. This service is, of course, free of charge.
With appropriate yet minimal care your Atrium will stay in pristine condition with no appreciable deterioration. Your building has been constructed from quality materials throughout but should any parts prove faulty for any reason they can be replaced. With the passage of time new and better performing items such as ultra clear glass have become available.
All manufacturing processes have an impact on the environment and at Atrium we are committed to minimising the impact we have where possible. Using timber, a sustainable building material, in the production of our conservatories has a number of benefits for the consumer and also the planet.
Sustainable timber uses less energy to produce than alternatives such as uPVC or concrete and if you are conscious of reducing your use of plastics, uPVC is not a good option.Our timber is purchased from FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) suppliers and where possible other materials are purchased as locally as possible.
