We are Kent's leading period property developers, known for impeccable attention to detail and authentic finishes. Responsible renovation of a period building begins with an understanding of its provenance, history, and the sequence of previous alteration that may have taken place. Traditional buildings often feature implements and ornaments of daily life made from wood.
Carefully crafted doors, windows, staircases, mouldings and the like create the ambience we seek to preserve. Our workshops can reproduce in detail the joinery needed to complete your project. Additionally, where features need to meet today's environmental and lifestyle standard, we will find the elegant and effective solution.

Services
A collection of external views of our work. Despite the degree of detail taken in when viewing a wide exterior aspect, small factors can radically alter the feel. Such subtleties would include mortar ratio, pointing style, brick bond, window and door proportions and mouldings to name very few. The inside of many period buildings sadly get altered beyond recognition.
This survey is a close and possibly intrusive examination, searching for evidence of the historical development of the building. This evidence is sometimes obvious, but is often based on subtlety such as the exact type of brick and joint size, the geometric basis for the timber mouldings, or the joint types used in an oak frame.
When working on a period property, especially one that has been altered and then re-altered over the decades and centuries, it is most important to have a full understanding of the building, its provenance, its history and order of alteration and also of the clients feelings on the matter.
Naturally this will take time, especially considering the fact that in many cases, until work has begun, or at least until an investigative and intrusive survey has been carried out, much will remain hidden from the eye.
