To ensure air handling plant & systems run at optimum efficiency, it is crucial that filters fitted to air handling units, fan coil units, over door heaters and other appliances are regularly inspected and replaced. Contaminated filters drastically reduce air flow, compromising performance and efficiency and can increase plant running costs.
Reduced pressure zone valves are backflow protection devices and need to be checked on an annual basis to ensure continual capability of backflow protection. All commissioning and testing of these valves needs to be carried out in accordance with the water suppliers approved installation method AIM-08-01 and must only be carried out by approved test engineers who have completed an RPZ course endorsed by WRAS.
