Research into acupuncture confirms it does ease pain. However, we believe that the knowledge of the traditional acupuncture approach to help with a person's energy (or Chi) provides far more relief, not just physically but also for the mind and spirit, resulting in improved general well-being. Counselling is when a counsellor sees a client in a confidential arrangement to explore a problem the client is experiencing.
It is always at the request of the client as no one can properly be 'sent' for counselling. Psychotherapy is an intentional relationship used by trained psychotherapists to aid a client in problems of living. Its aim is to support a clients own well being and to help improve the relationship they have to themselves and to others.

Services
We are keen to work alongside orthodox medicine so that patients with complex difficulties can benefit from the cumulative effect of our combined treatment. We continually endeavour to make appropriate bridges between complementary / alternative medicine and orthodox practitioners. Whilst we work ultimately as independent practitioners we place a strong emphasis on understanding each other's skills and how these can best help patients.
We recognise that the therapies we practice are the 'tools' which bring your natural forces into action. Many complementary medical therapies have been practised for over 3000 years and some are more recently developed. The thing they all have in common is that they look at a persons own natural homoeostatic (healing) mechanisms.
As a group of practitioners we recognise that the ability of a person to improve in health and heal lies inside each person. Sometimes a condition may have gone beyond the reach of any natural healing recovery and we then aim to give clear expectations of what treatment can and cannot do. In such situations we are still able to provide supportive help.
Make your way to the traffic lights at the crossroads in the centre of Malvern. Go down the hill, past Holland House on your left and take the first turning on the left into Portland Road. Either way, look out for the black and white road sign marked 'Complementary Health Clinic' on Church Street directing you down Portland Road.
If you are unsure as to what therapy/treatment or practitioner you need, please contact the clinic by telephone or email and we will endeavour to help you though your situation. Every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided in this site is accurate. It is not the intention to mislead or misinform anyone.
