Andy has been teaching our 6yr old son how to play the guitar for nearly a year now, before he started our son hadn't even been introduced to a guitar. He has come such a long way and is often able to teach us things when he returns home from his lesson. He finds Andy very approachable and Andy is very good at tailoring his teaching to the individuals needs.

Andy is amazing and very understanding towards your special needs or requirements and tailors your lesson around the requirements, I've been working with Andy for a few weeks now and have made so much progress in the time I've spent with him making guitar lessons fun and fluent. I'm partially sighted and Andy has made amazing efforts to get me playing the guitar doing Ear training and using large print Tabs and digital notes to help me.

Andy teaches guitar lessons in Ipswich and Colchester to beginner, Intermediate and advanced players of all ages and styles. With an A-level in music, grade 8 electric guitar and grade 5 theory, Andy has developed a thorough understanding of music theory and improvisation and amassed a wealth of experience putting these concepts into play and live performance.

Looking to get started on guitar or improve your current technique? When it comes to getting started I like to have my students playing a couple of basic tunes by the end of their first lesson, there's plenty of time for the theory and technical bits later on, the most important thing to start with is to just enjoy it and get a feel for what is possible if you stick at it.
